Thats great give him all the blame and zero credit if the Defense is good this year that doesn\'t make much sense.

Hmmmm.....OK, just to be the \"fact-checker\" here for a minute....

While Brooks obviously has to work on hanging on to the ball, it\'s downright incorrect to point out \"8 INTs and 14 fumbles equals 22 turnovers\" to go with the 24 TDs. You only count the fumbles lost as turnovers, of course, meaning Brooks numbers were 24 TD/22 TO. Still could be better....but since you take pains to point out the Panthers, maybe you should chew on this for awhile--Jake Delhomme in 2003; 19 TDs, 16 INTs and 6 fumbles lost...meaning 16 TD/22 TO ratio. Is that a set up for an 8-8 season, too? Of course, if you really still want to count all fumbles rather than just fumbles lost, you have to remember that Delhomme put the ball on the ground 15 times last season--one more time than Brooks--meaning the comparable ratios would be Brooks, 24 TD/22 INT and FUM, and Delhomme, 19 TD/31 INT and FUM.

When zook left we also let go of glover and johnson are two last pro bowlers on defense. Lets do not even get on zook\'s coaching abililty i am a Gator fan and he took over a power house of a college program and look what he did with them 8-5 back to back seasons.

dodgelsu: You need to chill out, man! I want to talk Saints football just as much as you do, but we can\'t do that unless you start managing yourself to a more mature level. Now, understand that a lot of the members of this website have been here for years. They have all treated each other with respect and dignity. Now, to get back to the main subject at hand:

You say that Rick Venturi is a good coach. I disagree. A good coordinator is creative, inventive, and makes sound playcalls. As of yet, I have never seen Venturi as one of those. Also, a good coordinator can create defensive schemes that exemplify the strengths of a defensive unit and bring out the best of a player. He hasn\'t done that either. He has maintained the same scheme for the past 3 years. That just doesn\'t win games in the 4th quarter.
