Did defensive end Junior Galette re-sign with the New Orleans Saints?
 

Three days ago New Orleans Saints defensive end Junior Galette sent out a post on his Twitter account that didn’t make many in his fanbase too happy to see as he’s listed to be a restricted free agent this season.

Galette sent this tweet out:

“I just Got Low Balled Lol That’s just #Disrespectful”

Speculation was that it was the Saints that Galette was referring to as the source of being given a not so favorable contract. NOLA.com’s Larry Holder, engaged in a Twitter conversation with SaturdayNightSlant.com’s Jordan Grove, said that in speaking to Galette the previous week that the defensive lineman wanted a three year deal.

This morning Galette sent this message on his Twitter account:

“Last time I shed tears ova Pain….#April22nd2010 my name wasn’t called 3Yrs Later Im About to shed #Tears On A #NEWDEAL #BLESSED”

Fans began to celebrate and congratulated him and I even asked if he had gotten his new deal. However Galette hasn’t responded in a 100% yes or no on if he’s staying with the Saints or not. The 2010 undrafted free agent made great strides since joining the team and has registered 43 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

I don't know about "great strides," and honestly, he should be happy about any contract offer/tender the Saints send his way since they could as well part ways with him.

I'd like to see him continue with the Saints, but there's absolutely no reason to overpay him for his services, because I doubt there's going to be that much competition over his signature.

Galette is lucky to be in the league; quite frankly, I've never understood how a backup or situational players can't understand why he's not getting starter play...

lets see how this years goes. is he really a 34 defender or better off in a 43?
Either way the 2013 cap is strapped and next year looks to be a better option in signing long term deals.

From what I understand when he tweeted that he wasn't talking about his contract. He was talking about a female "low-balling" him.
