I don't think we need a number 1 receiver.Thats the whole beauty of the offense.You shut down Colston,Graham lights you up you **** down both and Lance Moore gets 100yards.Defend against that a Sproles gets yards on short pass plays.Personally I'd get rid of two of the 5 backs and draft a prospect late,preferably a big bruiser to punch holes in short yardage.

i agree with the lack of need but we draft mech with that role in mind. drew makes due with what ever he has on the field.

by definition (mine) colston is not a #1 wr in the nfl. possession wr which usually falls into the #2

but like i said Drew makes this offense click.

We have a pick your poison offense.

For the better part of 6 years we've lead the league in time of possession. Its a myth that we score too fast and don't let our defense rest.

We did not draft Mech with that roll in mind. There is a huge difference between a big play WR and a #1 work horse WR. We spread the ball out.

Our possession WR is Lance Moore, hands down.

You do not draft a wr in round 1 with the idea of him being a role player

Now take Colston and Mix him Moore and you have a true #1

We do not need one but i always sit and wait for the next move to solidify the the other WR position on the field. Nope i do not see it on the roster.

I would be surprised if we went with Offense, but I can never be shocked by anything these guys do. As much success as the Saints have had over the last several years in getting mid to late round gems, they have been ALMOST the exact reverse in the top two rounds. I've been floored by so many picks, I have lost count. We do desperately need an upgrade in at least one of the OT spots, but I think we can all agree that in the 1st round the defense is a more pressing need.

If the Saints don't see any players who they think can have a relatively immediate impact on defense, when they pick, then it is highly possible they go with an O-lineman.

When he missed that catch to keep Drew's TD streak alive (*ahem* which I choose to believe was thrown a tad high *ahem*) my jaw hit the ground and totally made the "anvil" sound effect from Looney Tunes.

He doesn't like getting hit after he makes a catch, but man he hardly ever misses if the ball is near him

It needs to be tackle! Whether it's offense or defense doesn't matter to me. These need to be addressed to make the other parts around them successful.
