As always FA is going to affect how we approach the draft, I could see us going OT if we picked up an OLB (Anthony Spencer) even if we resign Bushrod.Lane Johnson would be a great pick IMHO Now where we get the cap space to do it is another ball of wax. It could happen. I don't see any other offense player that would warrant using our first pick on.
Free agency will always determine the strategy for the draft.I cant see us being a big player in FA this year

I really can't fathom the thought of going offense with the 1st pick.

Maybe O-Line in the 3rd, but we need some serious front 7 help with the switch.

If we don't resign Bushrod or get a LT in FA it wouldn't be surprising if we got one in round 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if we draft offense in the first round. Ive mentioned it before, unless you are going to draft the impact player for 2013 I can see the Saints trying to strengthen an already strong offense before throwing a first round draft pick at a defense that may or may not get a lot better (better than 20th) in the off-season with one person.

If its BPA? Yes I could see it, especially if we address holes during free-agency and the remaining defensive players all have 2nd/3rd round grades

If OT's Joeckel, Fisher or Johnson are there at 15, I could see it for sure.

I'm curious,

If we did go offense in round 1, which players would NOT make you throw something in a temper tantrum hissy fit? Assuming we don't trade down.

Obviously free-agency will effect the draft, but I'd be ok with the top 3 OT's, and maybe, just maybe, that WR from UT.

Only the LT would be worth taking IMO.

None... as both Joeckel and Fisher are mocked in the top 10. Even if Fisher were there, and there were a sky high impact potential defensive player there, I'd still at least give it an eye roll.

It needs to be the BPA on defense. It has to be.

The difference in talent for the rest of the skill position players on offense are comparable. You find an equally as talented WR in the 1st as you could in the 4th... though that player probably would come with some baggage.

Watch we pull some crazy and draft Eifert. :computer:

Should Fisher, Joeckel, Lane, Warmck, or Barkley fall, I could see the Saints drafting one of those guys...
