I don't know much about this guy. Ok he's a long snapper but does he play Guard, center or tackle the other 95% of the time?

He drinks gatorade on the sidelines 99% of the time - I can't even remember him taking snaps in the preseason for any other purpose than to be the LS.

Thats a resigning. A good one. We haven't had any problems with the longsnaps and I expect that to continue.

Special teams signings are always unsexy (unless its a great returner) but still very important to the longterm succes of a team.

When you don't hear his name called, he's doing a good job.
He's too small to play guard or tackle.
The last thing we need is bad punt snaps while deep in our own territory.
Or 3 points not hitting the board on what should be an easy chip shot field goal.
He's a specialist like the punter or kicker.
Good that they've put this piece of the puzzle in its place.

Actually no. He only played LS in college. He was recruited to Coloradeo purely to snap.

True, and I didn't mean to belittle his signing - just look at what happened with the Raiders last season during a game where they lost their LS.

That is a surprise

Drescher is a great LS. He consistently puts it right on the money. Our coach is trying to solidify the special teams. It's a good move by the FO. Besides, I've got his autograph.

Why break up a working partnership.
He doesn't make mistakes and must have come in at a reasonable cost.
