If you have a defensive scheme that uses an in the box Strong Safety who's used primarily as a rover/blitzer responsible for about 15 yards off the LOS, he probably was worth all that money, or close to it.

I think it might have been Gregg Williams who though he was worth that money and successfully convinced Loomis about it - GW, the gift that keeps on giving.

Jake Long was just signed to Rams...

There was speculation that the original starting LT for the Rams was upset by the move to get Jake Long...

There was spec that he might request a trade...

We need a LT...

There is a guy in St Louis now who was the D Coordinator of the Saints and if i recall he really liked Harper...

He was going there last year to reunite with Fisher, but he obviously couldn't do that with the Bouty-thingy... now that Herr Kommissar reinstated him he was hired by the Titans.
