Tuck rule no, Helmet rule yes

NFL owners end tuck rule, approve helmet penalty - ESPN

Continues destroying the game.. I become less and less interested in it.

I'll wait on the running back helmet rule until I see it officiated, the other stuff doesn't bother me, and its awesome that the tuck rule is gone. So overall this seems like moving back in the right direction. Getting rid of purposeful injury causing conduct without penalizing players for playing good football. They still need to fix the absurd helmet-to-helmet officiating and 15-yards for lightly tapping a QB on the side of the helmet, but I'm okay with one step at a time.

OMG this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my entire life NFL related.

How can they enforce this?

Because lawyers scared of future claims now run the league.
Just think,if you don't have players getting hurt you can up the season to 18 games and make more money.

They should have made a ruling that if a Quarterback ducks into a tackle then it can't be considered striking the Qb in the head (see the Philadelphia game last year) A perfectly legal, well executed tackle is penalised because the Quarterback ducked his head into it. They should have looked into that!

So that monster run Earl Campbell had where he head butted the defender in the chest and kept going is still Ok? He lead with his face mask which appears not to be an infraction under the new rule. Think of all of the flags Mike Alstott would have drawn...and Christian Okoye.

I think the helmet rule only applies to the runner, not the defender nailing him.

Wow way to pussify the league even more. I'm tellin y'all in 10 years it will be flag football. So basically everytime a running back touches the ball there is a good chance a flag will be thrown.

The problem is this is "OUR" league and we all fund it as fans. In my opinion the product on the field is turning to sh!t and there is nothing we can do about it. Seeing a running back truck over a guy and out maning him is one of the best things of American football. I really cannot believe what's going on here.
