I like it. I still want to take a chance on Mathieu, but I love the idea of Keke Mingo at 15.

Looks pretty good. He should have worked in a OT somewhere in there though.

Still hoping that we get an opportunity to trade down and net a 2nd

Maybe the Cowgirls will want Vaccarro bad enough...

Definitely need to pick at least one OT from the draft and possibly one from the UDFA pool.

Re: Walter Football Mock Draft 3/20/13

I think they will sign a left tackle in free agency. Brown is still young and untested... kind of the same thing if we draft a tackle. Unless we are talking about one of the upper tier tackles in the draft, I honestly would not want an inexperienced young player protecting Drew's back this year.

I could live with Mingo with our first rounder. But I would really like to see them trade down and add more depth through the draft.

No way Williams is still around in the fourth.

Yeah I usually like this website for the draft but they have us picking Mingo over Jarvis Jones and Demontre Moore which would be a huge mistake... Also I think the Saints may be comfortable with OLB and go after a NT in the first... Of course our First round pick doesnt matter much because they are destine to be mediocre at best; that being said maybe they do go with Mingo.

I'd say that too except they were really working it for Kruger. Didn't read it, but is the article figuring Jones and Moore will already both be gone by 15?

Mingo is a higher rated player then Jones, and is truly a pass rush specialist.

The question is, who do the Saints rate higher? They'll probably take a place kicker or WR with their 15 leaving us all with big WTFs on our foreheads anyway...

Why? I have no problem at all with drafting a Kicker. They're pretty important.

Re: Walter Football Mock Draft 3/20/13

Whoa! Mingo rated higher than Jones?! Wait just a minute. I'm pretty sure that there was a point (before the scariness about Jones' back problem came fully to light) that Jarvis Jones was considered the best talent in this entire draft pool. Keke Mingo is the DEFINITION of "Boom or Bust". He is undersized and does not have the stats from college to pad his hype. Now I know that he has the athletic measurables to suggest that he will become a good NFL player, but he is also a "Bust Trap" waiting to explode on some unsuspecting team. I think that the Saints have a very short window of Brees' godliness, and we can't afford to take such high risks at the moment. Our draft has to consist of Jordan or Ansah OR a TRADE DOWN for an extra pick and maybe a guy like Margus Hunt. I don't think there is much room for an exception to that game plan. With Jenkins, Harper, Bush, and Abdul-Quddus at the S positions and the way that we're stacking up our CBs, Our first pick HAS TO BE a proven, every down, and solid pass rusher. The closest thing to a "project" that we can afford is Ansah, and with his combination of SIZE and athleticism, he is much more ready than Mingo. I think that all of this discussion is a wash anyway though, because chances are pretty good that we trade down, in my opinion.

If mingo is rated higher it is because of JJ's injury history not pass rush ability

Let me take off my LSU glasses for a minute. I love Mingo as a Tiger, but im not crazy about his NFL potential. I would love Star Lotulelei, I don't think he'll be there though.

No, that would be even more dumber than burning 2 picks on a Punter in a 4 pick draft with needs everywhere else. :p

Im really starting to warm up to drafting Jesse Williams, especially if Star Lotulelei is off the board.

Solid prospect, still a tad raw.
