Grimes from Atlanta is still there, I know he had the injury last year but if he recovers and can get him for a reasonable price, he's a younger Winfield. He can cover and definitely not afraid to tackle. Risk reward kinda thing.

He'll be 36 before the season starts, but he did have 100 tackles and 3 INTs last season.

I'm a better fit than Tracy Porter! A lot of people are hung up on this "he's a Super Bowl hero!" B.S. Drew Brees was the Super Bowl hero (MVP). Tracy made a hell of a play- ill give him that, but the last season he was here, I couldn't wait for him to go. I can't tell you how many times I lost my s#!t watching him "attempt" to tackle someone! If he wants to help us out,go play for the falcons.

He had his best year in 2009 when dennis allen was our CB coach, wish him the best but i'm glad we didnt sign him to be honest

Winfield is old and potentially a coverage liability when it comes to speed receivers but the guy can sure tackle, something we haven't done well for a few years. I'd love him as a serviceable back up with limited snaps.

Antoine Winfield is not a good fit for New Orleans...

He's amazing for his stat line and eagerness to tackle, I really like that in a player...

...but he's only 5' 9" and would not be as effective in press coverage as the defensive direction we're going...

Like Jabari Greer, good player, bad fit...
