Ingalls served on the staff at Northwestern from 2006-08, where he was running game coordinator/offensive line coach his final season. He molded a line without extensive starting experience into the cornerstone of an offense that led the Wildcats to a nine-win season. Over those years, he had stints as offensive coordinator (1992-93), offensive line coach (1990-92) and running backs coach (1989, 1993). While running backs coach, he tutored future Pro Football Hall of Fame selection Marshall Faulk, who twice led the nation in rushing.

Ingalls' coaching career began at Idaho, where he graduated in 1984. After serving as a student defensive backs coach, he was assistant offensive line coach from 1984-85 and running backs coach from 1986-88. Idaho won four Big Sky Conference championships during his tenure.

I does seem like he does have experience in being the O-line coach and developing/teaching offensive linemen, so here's to hoping he can fill the shoes left behind by Kromer.

not bad at all some wide open offenses listed in there. plus more than one good OL came out of those schools too

It's all possible at this point. Anyway, the Saints' website states on his profile that Ingalls has "extensive experience tutoring offensive linemen", whatever that means.

There's a guy named Sean Payton that should make the transition smoother...

Remember, Condon and Brees asked for so much as to not allow for his protection...

Bought a Lamborghini and nothing left for a garage...

Ingalls has that Illinois thing that Payton likes...plus Northwestern is a really under-rated sleeper program. They had that bad reputation for a long time, of being the really losing team, the biggest losing streak in history and all that -- that's all in the past now but they still get overlooked in people's minds. Looks like this guy was a big part of their improvement.
