It appears the cap-strapped New Orleans Saints were able to sign free agent outside linebacker Victor Butler at a bargain price.
Butler, who played for new Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan for two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the Saints last week, inked a two-year, $3 million deal with $1.5 million fully guaranteed, according to Adam Caplan, an NFL reporter and Sirius/XM radio host.

Seems very affordable, great job all around!

Good move by both parties. If Butler comes in and takes his game to another level, he should see a solid payday in two years.

The more I read the more I like this signing. It seems like his agent wrote up a very favorable contract. Apparently if he comes in and starts he may be getting a new contract next year and back doing the tour for a new contract.
Lewis and Butler seem like really good signings.
