I hate I have to agree with this statement but you are 100% correct, we do have to prove it. I also think we will prove it this season for sure!! Paytons back.

Poor choice of words. Smallest places would have been better.

I did enjoy Anchorage more overall.

AK is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

But Lord have mercy, Fairbanks and Delta Junction were freaking cold. I actually feared for my life a number of times.

My former in-laws live in Kenai. Gorgeous!

Delta is miserable. It seems like it's always windy- and freaking cold- all the time. Good buffalo burgers and milk though!

Fairbanks. The temperature difference from winter to summer is nutty. It's certainly difficult to enjoy the area if you don't have the toys to do so. The Delta-Clearwater is spectacular and the grayling fishing is terrific. My great grandpa built a cabin out there in the 1940's (I think) and the creek there is named after him.

I confess, as a teen I felt the same as you. What can a kid do in Fairbanks but find trouble? In my late teens my friends and I built an iceshack (#149- hence my handle) and placed it on Birch Lake. We found our place to party and catch fish while doing so.

Apologies to the OP. I get sidetracked easily.

Here's hoping for Willie Whitehead II!:saintsfan:

Old guy who will relieve players and hopefully add some quality depth at that position

I do like this pick up since it's probably very affordable to bring him in, and he can serve as a player coach for the D-line on how Ryan's scheme works - like what Butler can do for the LB corps.

Anyone else read this?

"In his seven appearances last season, Coleman notched just 15 tackles and a forced fumble. His major contributions to a defense don’t come in the statistical column. Rather, it’s how he opens up lanes to the ball for those around him that make the difference. Coleman eats up multiple blockers, which in turn allows the linebackers behind him roam free and makes plays on the ball."

I'm liking this signing more and more.

The Saints have some players that have the ability to be the next "wow" guy. Morgan, Cadet, and Hakim to name a few. I'd rather see the Saints find out what these guys can do and focus on much bigger needs than use the only pick that they have in the first two rounds on a WR.

I didn't intend to be a jerk with my comment. I'm not a person that puts much stock in someone from the Internet telling me that something I said is dumb. I didn't mean any disrespect by it. I don't know you well enough to, even maliciously, call you a dumb person. I just felt like what you said was a little silly. My apologies for any hurt feelings.

Furthermore, while I don't advocate a WR selection in round one, I can still see how a player like Tavon Austin could be incredibly beneficial to the efficiency of our offense. There is a reason why guys like Rodgers, Brady, and P. Manning are continually talked about ahead of Brees, and it's because of guys that get them YAC and take pressure off of those QB's. As long as Drew is required to constantly thread the needle over and over to get us down the field, he will consistently have more picks and a slightly lower rating than the "other elites". Also, one of the reasons that our offense has led in yardage so much is because of our ineffective defense. An improved defense will cause a decrease in total offense. That will not make our offense any less effective but likely more efficient.
