I still think either safety position has to be ranked ahead of corner.

Good list of needs...

Whattya' all think about Eric Fisher/Central Michigan at LT? They compare him to CMU alum Joe Staley/49'ers. Small school, under-the-radar kind of pick the Saints are famous for? Would he go early or would he be around @ 15 or later? Around here they say he'll be a high draft pick, but I don't see anyone talking about him nationally. Local boy, he did visit the Lions & they need a LT as well.

We have 12 line backers.. you want more?

We have three OLBs and three ILBs who could be starters.

Romeus (knock on wood when you say his name) and Braylon B are DEs with zero PT in the NFL.

It's Vilma's last season. Lofton's the future. Hawthorne (knee and hamstring) could be good.

Chamberlain (torn ACL), Herring & Humber are mainly ST players. Chamb was a Spags guy who's likely odd man out.

You're telling me you wouldn't want Alec Ogletree over at least 4 of those names??

So we should draft a rookie with zero playtime in the NFL over players we already have with zero playtime in the NFL.

The ones we have are paid for and we have no cap space.

Can you draft a player with NFL experience? :p

YES, you draft a guy who is better than three other players on your roster.

I could be wrong - Broughton is listed as ROLB on some charts, DE on Saints website.

He seems to fit the DE mold IMO and can bulk up to 285

Lol

just my thought train, we fill a need before a want. We want better linebackers, we need a starting LT and legitimate back up QB.

We have 2.5M in cap space and we need a practice squad.

We also have two positions with zero back up. Our FG kicker has managed to play a complete season only once in his 5 years in the NFL. Considering how our special teams have played Morestead has a chance of getting hurt tackling than Lofton.

There are 4-5 positions we could fill at #15 with a talented, valuable player player.

ST is always a work in progress.

I'm not concerned with the cap - Loomis has proven to be a cap savant.

My last concern followed by who the saintsations pick up in 2013 is the practice squad..

Loomis is a cap savant however we are on the down slope of FA, and the draft is only a few weeks away. There is also only 1 player that can give us cap space worth discussion and that requires his agreement to take less salary, Loomis can do nothing about his bonus dead money cap hit.

I am playing the hand that is presently dealt, until Loomis starts flipping his cards I'm not willing to go all on.

I could care less about the PS also, their cost can't be ignored. When the budget is tight necessities should be addressed first.

It seems that everyone KiKi Mingo is the pick if the dight OT is not there. Everything I read leads to him.
