I would draft him and cut Harper the same day

Looks very good. I'd be curious to know what Polamalu's or Ed Reed's measurables were. He certainly would be a very large step up from what we have (it would seem).

I hear ya man. That's actually what excited me most about switching to the 3-4. Most of the good ones are the tweener OLB types. They should have made the switch a few years ago IMO

I don't see why some believe Vaccaro would be a reach. Based on what? There are other players who I'd gladly take, as well, but if we draft this guy I will not be one bit upset.

Whether or not he turns out to be the second coming of Reed, Sharper or Polamalu is not something you can predict. You draft the best player at whatever position you're looking to address, and whatever happens, happens. I challenge anyone to present evidence that there is a better safety, or DB in general, in this class.

And also, we DID pick Malcolm Jenkins at pick #14. A cornerback. Would be nice to draft a true safety to meet our need. Vaccaro fills a position of need and he's the best safety in the draft. Why the hell not???

And I mean really, we HAVE to score big on a first round pick sometime soon, right? This is the year!

I would just cut Harper...

...so he can hang out with his friend Sedrick and hit on Applebee's waitresses while discussing their "foundations"...

Dee Milliner and Xavier Rhodes, but I see your point. Two years from now will anyone really care if Vacarro was picked 15th, instead of around 20th, where the "so called" experts projected him?

I think there are probably better choices at 15, but I wouldn't cry about it if we picked him. I think he's gonna be a good player. I'd prefer one of the top DE/DT/OLB or WR's, but he'd be a good pick for us.

Yeah, I'd like to have Jarvis Jones or the less experienced -but incredibly talented- Ezekiel Ansah, because I'm really itching for a pass rush.

But I'm starting to think neither of them (especially Jones) will be there. So In my opinion, Vaccaro stands as the next greatest impact player at a position of need for us. Milliner and Rhodes are good cover guys, but I like the package of cover ability and top-tier tackling skills of Vaccaro. Plus, we've already invested in a corner with Keenan Lewis, otherwise I wouldn't object to drafting a guy Like Rhodes who figures to be available. I personally have not seen a DB who has shown me more than Vaccaro, regardless of draft position.

But yeah, I don't think anyone will care where we pick anybody years from now, as long as they get the job done.
