I think they will work out a deal during training camp. Haslett has been on vacation for weeks and returns this week.

Hopefully they will sign Hass...but they better come off of at least what they were paying that bird flipping fat ass Ditka or Has would be foolish to take a deal. The Saints need to step up to the plate and do something responsible for a change. Secure a great head coach and pay him what he is worth.

Haslett didn\'t impress me at all last year. I ponder whether he was a one hit wonder or not. Personally I think he was at the root of a lot of trouble- we should have kept Mule, but I might be wrong. Haslett sure let a lot of bad things happen in the lockerroom, sounds like he may have been involved. Well I still think he has a lot to prove. Maybe a one year extension, then \"show him the money.\" But I know he won\'t take that, but oh well- Benson is going to have a hard time shelling out those same bucks again. :casstet:

You know, this guy is the best we have had since Jim Mora. He is a motivator. Sure, they fell apart at the end of the year, but there was no team leadership in the locker room. These are not kids playing this game, grow up and act like adults and get your priorities straight. The trouble in the locker room I heard stemmed from Roaf. Again, you are adults, handle this in an adult way. I think the coach should be paid. They need to make Aaron Brooks their next hight priority. Third lowest player in the league is ridiculous. The man has skills.

I dont see any reason why Haslett shouldnt get his money. If we dont pay Haslett then whos next. I would hate to see someone from the coaching merry-go-round come in and ruin what was started by Haslett and Mueller. I think Haslett has earned it and we should pay the man.

Benson will probably wait for a pause between preseason and the real season and get serious , he might want to see how they play in preseason .

Another possible might be Loomis , remember Benson loves to clean house . If he is not going with Loomis , Haslett could get the axe .

I think Benson is trying to figure out how to pay him more this year, but if he decides to clean house at the end of this season he won\'t have to pay Haslett any addtional money like he did with Ditka. Benson obviously wants to pay him more, but I believe the house cleaing theory Saintz08 has.

Personally I think Benson is one of the greatest Saints fans .

If the Saints ever won the SuperBowl ,I think he would buy the Nanchez , paint it black and gold and nail the Lombardi Trophy to the front rail . He would put a jazz band on the top deck , playing when the Saints go marching in and ride that boat up the mississippi til he ran out of water . Turn around and do it again .

But I do not think he would spend the money or the time on a coach , who lets his team fall apart . How many more next years do you think he has ???
