the WILB in Ryan's 3-4 is nearly identical to the WILL in a 4-3.

Its a different 3-4.

Would like to See Ingram give PT a serious Run for the lead back Role

Would like to See All Our New LB's Find where they are strongest ( Most Destructive )

Would like to See Hicks V Anyone that will supply us with a passrush

More than anything want to see Ingram V PT , Ingrams due

Your absolutely right be cause Payton said in an interview that in Ryan's 3-4 the weak side Guard is often covered which is how the 4-3 is played. Shows that SP did his research before hiring Ryan! Gotta love our coach.

Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme

I agree with Danno, and I'd be a little worried if I was Lofton, because he seemed to me like he was brought in to replace Vilma when Vilma's future was uncertain with the suspensions and injuries (remember before the penalties came down people were speculating about a possible lifetime ban for Vilma), and although I don't dislike him, to me Lofton kinda has the stink of the Spagnuolo hire upon him now, he's kind of a symbol of the "worst defense in history" 4-3 era from when Payton was mostly out of the building, and now the team is clearly moving in a different direction.

I want to see how Lofton handles the Ryan 3-4, before I give up on him.

This season could wash him clean. We'll see, as I'll bet you, barring injury, fifty dollars to a bucket of **** he ain't going anywhere.
