NFL Draft Starts Tonight!

1 Attachment(s)
Don't miss it!

I am sure the majority of fans know this; however, there are many fans too busy with work and life to track all of the important dates for our team. It starts roughly 12 hours from the time stamp on this post.

7 Pm Central Time.. 8 PM Eastern Time (Do not forget the 1 hour time difference)

From what I am reading it will be carried on Fox local, ESPN, and the NFL Network.

The Saints are starting the draft with 5 picks:

Round 1 -#15
Round 3 -#75
Round 4 -#109
Round 5 -#144
Round 6 -#183

Is it still 15 minutes between picks? That puts us on the clock at about 10:30 CST.

Thats a miserable amount of time to wait.:(

I honestly can not say I have been awake for more than 3 or 4 Saints picks in the past.

However, it seems that has changed this year

Teams have 10 min in Round 1, and 7 min in Round 2.

So we pick around 9:30PM CST barring a trade up/down.

"If" picks 1-14 take 10min a piece. I would say we will pick no later than 9:30.

I would also imagine that Picks 1-4 will go fairly quickly. My guess would be our first pick around 8:45-9ish.

My GOD!

There's a selective process for prospective professionals?

Why didn't anyone say anything about this before today?

Why am I relying on breaking news to inform me of this critical development?

Also NFL Game Pass is free for the duration of the draft... I'll be watching that since I think the NFL Network coverage is far better than the ESPN coverage.

Just click the Game Pass banner from the NFL.com homepage, register a user profile and begin watching.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday evening that West Virginia WR Tavon Austin is a lock to be drafted in the top-ten picks.
