Deuce was wild about 49ers, but he's enjoying success with Saints

All the fretting about New Orleans, and the fate of the 49ers-Saints game, turned out to be for naught. Only a few droplets glazed the Big Easy on Thursday as Hurricane Ivan chose to inflict its damage elsewhere.

New Orleans, expecting the worst, got a mere two-tenths of an inch of rain and a few stiff winds.

The flawed forecast is hardly a first for Saints star Deuce McAllister, who will face his former favorite team Sunday at the Superdome. In the days leading up to the 2001 draft, the running back heard repeated projections that he would wind up with the 49ers.
