Just think if he would've been 100% dedicated to his health and profession. He was a beast.

yeah he was something back then. The guy had more excuses for missing the team flights than any one. man some of them were funny as hell. no police report coach but i swear kids vandalized my van. that was one of my favs of his.

he had some real issues. shame he partied so heavy.

glad to see got his life together in the end because he was just a good guy with some issues. times were different then. Coaches players and the nfl all knew the issues and did little or nothing to help him. every one covered for him.

man what a talent.

I remember Thunder and Lightening. Too bad we can't find a FB with Galbreath's moves and speed. The NFL doesn't use the split backfield like they did under Stram back in those days. You really didn't know where Archie was going with the ball in 77 and 78. Our offense was as explosive and todays offense has ever been. Oh yea... the defense was crap too.

He was a New Orleans Saint and because of that, I wish his soul and his family peace...

And not to taint nor tarnish a passed soul, but his passing at only 60 should be a lesson in the consequences of poor choices using narcotics...

And more importantly, he redeemed himself in working with young people to steer them from the dark path he'd been down...

He cost himself and his fans a terrific career, and now his family has lost him at a young age...

God Bless Him and Keep Him...And Thank You for those Rare, Great Moments during the Dark Ages of the Franchise...

Muncie was one of my favorites. I loved me some Lightning & Thunder.
I always believed that Hank Straham didn't get enough time to work the bugs out.
Muncie ran hard like Ivory, but because of his long legs, he would get his ankles rolled every 5-6 weeks.
I remember games where DBs would let themselves get blocked by receivers.
Or just hit the deck late in the 3rd after taking all that punishment earlier in the game.
I had those same black rimmed glasses behind the rack.
Chuck was some kinda runner.

Ahh , my dad used to call them the moochie heads. The team had some talent in nthe mid to late 1970's, but they had some guys with problems.

Good for Muncie that he turned his life around.
Good ending. Better late than never.

He was a favorite of mine back in the day, my favorite Saint's RB until Deuce came along. RIP Chuck.
