Doug Marrone, HC for Bills, is himself removed just a few years ago from the Saints. He must have some history with Monos.

I have seen Sean Payton and Micky Loomis given credit for finding these players... However for the sake of discussion, I must point out a few things.
From the OP:
"Saints area scout Jim Monos is leaving for the Buffalo Bills to become the team's director of player personnel. The Bills announced the move Thursday morning.

Monos was a scout with the Saints since 2005 and was in charge of keeping an eye on college players in the Southeast region."
