I was just trying to figure out where he would be on the depth chart. I had him penciled in as a 2nd stringer. He seemed to have tons of potential but if he can't play then we can't pay. Oh well, buh bye now.

The team switching to a 3-4 did him in.

He was strictly a 4-3 DE; not big enough to play DE in a 3-4. Apparently, they didn't think an OLB position would work for him.

Well, he was cut a year ago, but re-signed shortly after... so let's wait and see if it'll really be final this time around.




IDK, put 10 lbs or so on that frame and he'd be about the ideal size for a 3-4 DE.

6-5 and 280 would be plenty enough for a 3-4 DE if he had the athleticism (and durability) to make it work.

I wish him luck. He's still young though. Maybe he can take a year to really heal up and try again next year.

Such a shame. He rehabbed so much only to tear his other acl and now gets cut. I wish him the best and hope he catches on somewhere.

True, but why cut a player making minimum wage only to later sign him for what will likely be minimum wage?

We know his struggles.
Get a look at a fresh young minimum wage talent and see if he gives a better ROI.
Can't limp through the kind of punishment this game brings.
I hate it for Romeus. I was pulling for him.
There had to be some real issues if they severed ties this early in the prep.

Would it affect his PS eligibility in any way?

I mean it that would turn out to be the case - Romeus being re-signed once again after being waived/cut - there'd have to be a technical salary/contract reason behind it.
