Just going off of Hartleys accuracy stat is comparable to giving a BU QB the title of most accurate when he only throws 15 passes a season.

If you take the season he was 100% which needs to be asterisked because he was on medication that he was later suspended for he is 81.2% which knocked him out of the top 4 kickers the Saints have had.

Plus being maybe the only kicker in history to injure himself -badly- while kicking. I am so rooting for young Maltos!

And he has blown several makeable field goals like the one against KC last year, which allowed them to come back and beat us.

He missed a key FG vs GB to.

Will this guy be the best kicker in the NFL if he starts? Or down the road?

Kickers are different from the rest of the players. Competition on the other side of the ball has zero bearing.

They are either good or they are not, they are either good out doors or not... Some decline with age.

Morten Anderson was between 70-85% his entire career. Same with Janikowski, and Matt Bryant, etc...

No, the other Gramatica broke his leg jumping up and down after making a kick.
