2013 Season Projection ... Obviously By An Idiot

Let us Clear a few things up before this entire segment begins so that everyone is in a clear minded state when reviewing this information.

Most 2013 Projections are flawed because of the recent breakthrough of the new generation of quarterback. Russel Wilson , Colin Kaepernick , RGIII , so on and so forth. With that being Said I will say that they will go through the same slump as Cam Newton went last season as the NFL moreso the NFC has seen an entire seasons worth of game Film on them.

I do not expect them to be that dynamic in Year 2.

So Let's do This

1. Season Opener - Home Opener vs the Atlanta Falcons ... 49 - 21 Saint's Obliterate the Falcons , and the world relearns Mark Ingram's Name. The Falcons didn't See Vaccarro Until twas too late on Multiple Occasions.

2. @ Tampa Bay - Game reminds me of a brawl in a Fast and Furious Movie .This One is Much Closer , But an Impressive Stint By Victor Butler Finishing with 2 Sacks a Forced Fumble and Lofton Denies Tampa Twice on the Red Zone ... 28 - 20

3. Home vs Arizona - Indy vs Saints all over again ... You can't come to the Dome without a Quarterback ... 56 - 10

4. Home vs Miami - Cameron Wake and Dion Jordan run loose on Brees , No Worries , We Run the Ball and They have a Pre Schooler at QB. 28 - 7

5. @ Chicago - Another Fist Fight , but Brian Urlacher was their best Chance keeping Brees off The Field. 35 - 27 , No answer For Jimmy Graham

6. @ New England - Gronk is a Huge Weapon , Welker is too ... One is gone , the other is Recovering from a very serious Back Injury. Saints Guns Shoot Further , Lance Moore Makes a Fool of New Englands Secondary

7. Home vs Buffalo - Plenty of Wings to Go Around ... 45 - 13

8. @ New York Jets , The Ryan Bowl - ButtFumble has Nothing on Brees , Mismatch all across the Board , No Revis to stop it. 56 - 21 ( I seriously don't know how they're going to get that 21 by the way )

9. Home vs Cowboys - Butler , Ryan and Sean Payton have their Revenge whilst Romo Gets his Head Torn Off compliments of Martez Wilson and Cameron Jordan. 45 - 21

10. Home vs San Francisco - John Jenkins and Akiem Hicks Throw off the Pretty Pistol all Game Long. However we Struggle Offensively as Well , Ingram Saves the Day scaring the daylights out of the 9ers Defense causing them to Play up and Graham Ends the Slobber Knocker on a 15 Yard Playaction pass to seal the Deal ... 21 - 20

11. @ Atlanta - First Loss of the Season , Drained from the Last Game 21 - 32

12. @ Seattle - Rebound Game - 35 - 21

13. Home vs Carolina - 35 - 21

14. @ St Louis - Easy Win 45 - 17

15. @ Carolina - Cam Runs Wild in a Desperate effort for a Wildcard Slot 2nd Loss. 21 - 24

16. Home vs Tampa - Tune up Game for the Playoffs - Blowout City 45 - 21

And There You have it 14 - 2

The only way to put a cherry on top of this story is to put a 28-6 score on the Pats game.

I can't even begin to see that (not that I wouldn't be thrilled if it did happen).

We just need to take it one game at a time. The rest will take care of itself.

Re: 2013 Season Projection ... Obviously By An Idiot

It seems pretty accurate to me! Don't know about the projections for Ingram but who knows?! I get such a laugh out of the talking heads thinking the Saints of 2012 is indicative of who the team is nowadays: Nothing more than a 7-9 or 8-8 type of team. But you know what? We're better anyways when we fly under the radar and people don't expect much from us. Leave the crumbling under pressure to the Failcons!

Another thought here: I just saw where the whiners hired Mangina as an offensive (yes he is) something or another. Subtract one touchdown from their score and add an owned over the Clowns for the next week.

Not trying to be a glass half-empty guy, but the Pats, S'Hawks and Rams game are gonna be a B***H! I wouldn't put those in the W column so fast, my friend...

The Pats and S'Hawks are each on the back-end of road trips and at opposite ends of the country; and we've not fared well in St. Louis since leaving the NFC West; and they've since gotten much better...

As always a real indication of the season will be the Division games where we will have to sweep the Bucs and at least split with both ATL and CAR to have a chance at the division; actually, the NFC South Champ will finish no less than 5-1...

But, I'd circle the 49ers game, that will be the Biggest Tell of the Season!!!

It well tell if we've got the talent to geaux toe-to-toe with Clubber Lang's Krewe and will test our mettle if we've gotten Football Tough...

Nice predictions although, I think I would trade outcomes between the away Atl game and the St. Louis game. Under Payton we have struggled against the Rams and I think the Saints would be more motivated to beat Atl in Atl this time around considering the 'hospitality' the falcons fans showed them the last time they were in town. I think I would also give the Saints an L against Seattle. Seattle does have a tough home crowd. Bottom line: It's all on the defense. If the defense looks good, then we can talk about a 10+ win season.

I think winning or losing to Seattle depends on weather they're playing inspired football or not. They're a good team but still suffer from mixed personalities.

We Owe The Rams , Seahawks and 9ers a good ole Blank whippin , I think we will give them just that ...

In alot of these predictions I saw a very evenly matched team so I went with the the three most telling signs of which is the better team ...

Who has the Better QB , Who Has the Better Head Coach , lastly who has the most Veterans ...

I don't care what happens next season with the exception of ONE thing. We had better get our revenge on the niners - they are due big time, and I'm not talking about just the last two years. I remember the Montana days and I'm still pissed off.

How bad was our defense last year? Who's starting as tackles? Have any linemen played 3-4 against a pro offense? Is Drew going to throw as many unforced interceptions, AGAIN?

When's our first preseason game?

St. Louis is too

If the defense was set, I would agree with you.

But I think 14-2 is a reach. I see a 12-4/13-3 record more likely, barring injuries.

Saints will win the NFC South, and if we aren't seeded 1st or 2nd, get our first road playoff win, either against the seachickens or the Packers!

Here's a thought...why don't we take it 4 games at a time? Then by everyone else's week 5, we're done and can start to rest and recover for the playoffs. Should I be a coach or what? :bng:

Actually, apart from a few exceptions, I agree. But it might also be tough because we know that even if both teams are at 0-15, it matters so much so we look at it always with more anxiety than most other games.

The rams, we play them week 15. When I see the rams schedule it isnt easy. I see StL regressing because their team changed. They no longer have Jackson, Pead will not be as good as him and defenses will shift their focus to stopping Bradford. Arizona's pass defense will be a problem week 1 and rams better hope Palmer isnt a much better upgrade over Kolb or what they had last year at qb. Then they go to Atlanta and Dallas followed by a TNF game against SF. They have to win their home games against Zona, SF, and Jacksonville. Then it gets tougher, they go to Houston, Carolina, host Seattle in primetime, then Tennessee on that short rest, Carolina's weakness is most defintely not against the pass unless its Brees. They shut down Rivers in SD. Bradford is not ready to win in Charlotte and the best I see here is 1-3. Meaning rams start at best 4-5 if they win four of their five home games, the five days rest will not work against Seattle and a rested Titans. In fact both Seattle and Tennessee come off longer rest than six days. They could lose both. Then its off to Indy before the bye and here come the bears and b2b road trips to SF and Zona. They will have to beat the bears and sweep a improved Zona again. I don't see both. So by week 15 the rams at the most will look to be 5-8 or 6-7. If the saints are better record wise by three games then they will win.

As for pats........this is one I have thought of. I kind of feel its best to hold a lot back against bears to have more ready for the pats. I think that will happen. Bears will also be desperate for a win as I see them losing the previous two games.

And no question if SP has to choose between playing all you got against SF or Atlanta.....its going to be Atlanta. I know we want to beat SF but we want to beat Atlanta more! Can we win both? Maybe we could have last year. But the TNF game we just were too tired and not having enough rest may have been why. And besides I don't think SF gets in next year.

Seattle is on a night saints have played their best football ntm saints will have some extra rest and only be off by three days compared to Seattle's off their bye. Though I believe this might be a loss.

That is if we play like we need to.

Most statistics about predictions show the vast majority of people who predict the outcome of sporting events are often wrong. Might as well read the horoscope. About the same %

I am just ready for some football! I feel mad about the last year and I think all of our players are also. They are not going to leave anything on the field this year. Think our chances are good to win another title. I would be happy with 10 or more wins peaking at the right time and bringing home the Trophy one more time. We owe SF, Seattle, big time and somewhere along the way need to punish the Packs. Atlanta needs to be humbled.

Ill put the Rams game into perspective.

2013 - No Steve Jackson
2012 - Didnt play
2011 - Steve Jackson 159 yards 2 TD (Rams 31 -21 )
2010 - Steve Jackson 96 yards Score (13-31 NO)
2009 - Steve Jackson 139 yards 1 TD (23-28 NO)

I am not picking what the majority are. Anyone with real knowledge has to know a read option offense is the most vulnerable to a regression than that of a powerhouse offense or defense without that. Also teams with the spotlight never go to the sb. The three NFC teams that made the biggest important moves behind SF/Sea without having the spotlight are Atlanta, us, and Arizona and all for the better.

Exactly without him we have a shot. He was the last remaining member on that team with a knowledge of our rivalry. Now he's gone, we had our way with Bradford in 2010 I don't believe he even played in 2011 game and they ran it all day on us. I don't think Bradford can beat our defense. And no offense, but Fisher's game isnt cut for the game today.

I like it. But where are the playoff projection? :)

I'm thinking #1 seed.

Home divisional game against the Eagles (or whoever)? Win 34-21.

NFC Championship game against the... Seahawks? Win 40-18.

Super Bowl against the (I have no idea)? Win 28-17.

I have become an absolute Jonah for the Saints.

2 seasons ago I was at the Rams road game and also the 49ers play-off game. We lost both.

Last season I was at Washington home opener, 49ers home game and Falcons road game. We lost all three.

This season I already have flights and hotels for Falcons home, 49ers home and Falcons road game. I am likely to attend 2 others. This clearly dictates we are an 11-5 team at best :)

Nah, just go outside, spin around clockwise three times saying, "Dirty birds" as many times as you can. After the third spin, dump a bowl of gumbo and a Sazerac cocktail over your head and yell, "Who dat!" as loud as you can at your land lady. I learned this secret from a voodoo expert and have been given permission from her to share it with any who feel the way you do.

BTW If you do this, it will guarantee the Saints will score an extra twenty -one points at each of these games.
