Which New Probie Are You Following Most?

Curious to see which new probie each of you are most interested in making the team?

We expect the first rounder to make a bigger impact than say an UDFA, but who are you most interested?

I'm following our first two draft picks intently...........and throw in a little UDFA LBer to keep it fun.

I'm most interested in UDFA Brent Leonard. He runs good routes and has nice hands. I know he faces a long shot to make the team, but I think he could become a valuable receiver in the offense.

Armstead, Jenkins for me since I'm an old lineman myself. And I also find Griffin awfully intriguing.

all of them.

cap issue in 2014 i would love to see each one push the entire roster and make cut down day so freaking hard that our jaws drop with some of the names walking.

If we can resign most of the players after cut down day to the PS we will be solid and by season end we will get raided once or twice by other teams

I really like the influx of youth over the past few years. now we need that youth to start making some noise. time to step up and help with our cap. :)

It may be wishful thinking, but 'd be really nice if we could move some salary cap and get some draft picks...

Some teams may be willing to part with some late round picks or depth we could use to ensure they won't get into bidding battle for experienced Defensive End, Safety, or Linebacker...

I too am pulling for the wr from ULM but I think our most important rookie is Jenkins.

They're not rookies until the regular season starts. Now they're just prob(ationar)ies. We'll fall in love with some then forget all about'em by September.

Looking forward to Big John controlling the point of attack and hoping Chase Thomas can be another Super Find in the UDFA Toy Box for the Saints; concerned with his development because we have so many OLB listed on the roster...

That'll be okay as long as we let the cream rise to the top.

I picked every selection that wasn't "other kid", because each of them have a good chance at making this roster.

Jenkins. Hard not to be intrigued by a guy that size who can move like that. I am in love with the youth and talent on the d-line right now.

Re: Which New Probie Are You Following Most?

We will certainly get a lot of information on the higher draft picks so I went with two undrafted players in Chase Thomas and Rod Sweeting. It sounds like Sweeting is turning heads by making some plays on the practice field.
I was yelling for the Saints to pick up Thomas in the 6th and was glad that he accepted to play with the Saints after the draft was over.

Right on and I hope he can stay in good football shape.

Re: Which New Probie Are You Following Most?

1. Kenny Vaccaro: He plays a position of need and the Saints need to do well on a defensive first round pick.

2. Terron Armstead: another big need for the Saints. I don't think he will be an immediate starter, but hopefully he develops well.

3. Ryan Griffin: hopefully he isn't called into any important situations for the Saints, but it would be cool to see him develop well and either (1) provide a good safety net in case of injury, or (2) get traded for assets/picks.

Like to see Sweeting at least make a special teamer and Thomas make the team also. We are going to need replacements at CB soon.

I live out west, so I got to see Chase Thomas a lot. Im really high on him.

So for me its.....

Chase Thomas
John Jenkins
Rufus Johnson

I expect Kenny Vaccaro to make an impact, but these three im gonna keep a close eye on.

Hearing Vaccaro's, Armstead's and even RUFUSSS' names coming up a lot, but not Thomas so much. Any news on him?

toss up armstead or jenkins. both will be equally important.

I'm looking at Jenkins we need someone to put presure on the opposing teams O-line and I hope he's the guy that can do it.
