I know this is not the same cercumstances thank god but we did it without Ricky. Can we do it without Duece. Not to mention that year we where alot better at stopping the run. I cannot remember too many of the specifics but I do remember us stopping Faulk for 28 yards. Yes the last week we played the Rams he gained 200 some but in the Playoffs Faulk only had 28 yards rushing. Not to mention that year we had 64 sacks in that season. Hey though maybe i'm still underestimating Faulk but he only had 20 yards rushing last week. He is not too fresh either he had too come out for acouple plays.

anyhow i'm hoping.

I think our running game was destined to fail the year because we removed the fullback from the set. I think this also explains why Deuce was hurt right off the bat, there\'s usually an extra blocker there to take the suicide hits, then Deuce knifes through. I think we are as good without him because he wasn\'t going to have a great year anyway. HE WAS A LEADING RUSHER IN THE NFL THE PAST FEW YEARS AND WE CHANGED THE FORMATION WE RUN FROM. WHY?

POOR COACHING! If we go to the playoffs it\'s only because of our talent on offense, not our coaching, if anything the coaching and front office decisions are destroying what little we have.

The reason we switch to the 2TE set is pretty obvioius to me: we wanted to take advantage of two extra receivers (our presumed awesome TEs) while still having the option to run (Duece has never been billed as a power runner - even though WE all know he is ; he was supposed to take advantage of being able to make big plays on fewer touches, which makes using a semi-pass formation make some sense).

However, what the coaches failed to do was realize that Boo wasn\'t going to suddenly start catching the ball like crazy, Conwell\'s speed is not what it once was, and our stud HB needs a FB to follow or he gets confused as to where he should run. Put back the I formation, damn it!

The problem is the coaching!

OK - so the coaches screwed up by going to the 2 TE set and as a result our biggest weapon is out 5-6 weeks. Think they\'ll finally spread the field and use Brooks and our speed at WR, or you think they\'ll simply plug Ki-Jana into the existing system and see if his knees can take it?
