Anyone still think that AB can't lead after they saw that game!?!

Looks like we got us a RB too. ;)

Nice, calm and collected for Aaron all game, except when he had to run for his life in the first half. Kudos, Aaron.

Brooks had a good game. The one thing this game underscored was that John Carney is making a good case for MVP and all the folks wanting to cut him after Jacksonville last year should re-evaluate that opinion.

If AB can\'t win you over with today\'s performance, he never will. Not trying to call you out or start anything, but you should seriously re-evaluate why you feel the way you do about him.

Brooks played like the qb I want leading my team today. Great game!

It was a good game, and he played very well.

But he still could\'ve been better. There were many times where receivers were wide open and he overthrew or underthrew it.

Good game by AB, but he\'s still got room for improvement.

No question MD. Brooks must be given credit for his game today. He played mistake free and finally really lead this team. It was great to see. Likewise, those misses to guys who are as wide open as you can get in the NFL worries me. With the defense this team has the offense HAS TO convert early in games and put teams away - or at least take them out of the run game. At some point, near misses and 50 yard field goals won\'t cut it. Brooks needs to start hitting those open men down field. He\'s missed a whole lot of those passes this year already. That said, that\'s about the only problem I have with his performance so far this year. Otherwise, he\'s playing great and in the race for the Pro Bowl. Keep it up AB!

I have to give it to him. Good game. He has done wonders for my faith in him. I agree that he should have hit those two passes to Horn and Pathon, but overall excellent game.

Absolutely. How in the world could he possibly miss two open receivers today?

I don\'t want to take anything away from AB. I have always thought and still do think he should remain as the future of the Saints but I can\'t help but think how different these comments would have been if Aneas Williams would have caught that ball. He has much room for improvement. That was a criticle almost game ending mistake on his part. But one bad mistake and a couple of over throw balls is not big enough to cover up his 2nd consecutive great performance.

I don\'t understand why people are shocked by the way he has played. He has only been doing this for the past two years. I think he is getting better in limiting the plays like the one he threw at Aneas Williams. But the guy has been gunning it ever since he first started against the Rams.

OK....so now Brooks has played well enough that we\'re going to field complaints about his \"almost\" interceptions..........LOL.

For all the people that noticed this, raise your hand. Did anyone else see how when the camera flashed over to Brooks on the sidelines that he after each field goal he was high-fiving everyone, but visibly upset with himself on some of his passes? There was no smiling (maybe because he hadn\'t thrown a pick), or joking around on the sidelines. He looked dead serious throughout the game. Competitive even. Have we all just witnessed the Aaron Brooks we ALL want to see leading this team? Maybe it\'s just me, but he seems to be showing some fire out there.

. brooks still sucks. when brooks scrambled and went down feet first to give us a fourth down, when diving head first would have assured us a first down, shows the lack of heart of this wussy. not to mention the touchdown pass to joe horn should have been intercepted (thanks for the gift rams). and brooks\' feet are still as happy as ever....

Go blow it somewhere else, man, he was the reason we won the game yesterday. He made some mistakes (the shoulda been audible at the line when the Rams were stacking nine) but he won the game. A win is a win, and even I\'ll give Brooks props on this one. Reminds me of 2001.

True - but he did b-tch out on that play instead of selling out for the 1st down, and he had me throwing the remote. ;)

he didnt ***** otu had he gone for the first down who knows he may not have got it and could have ended up hurt. no reason for him to try that. if it was the playoffs or super bowl yeah but not here with deuce already down. we loose brooks and just pack the season in

any quarterback with heart would have went for the first down. spkb25, is that what you want? a soft scared presense leading us from the huddle? aaron brooks is and always will be a scared _itch.

Even I was scratchin\' my head on that play. Everyone knows I like Brooks, but doode, get the first down.

Hey JKool, the jury is still out on Brook\'s, he\'s shown flashes before then the fire went out as quick as it started. I will really believe if we win the next three games and beat the Vikings all without Deuce.

Point taken C.

I\'ve defended Brooks many times, and I\'m not going to back down now. I understand the point about not getting the first down on that play, but I maintain that HE was the reason we won against the Rams (still props to Carney and Grant).

The man threw (though he missed a couple), he ran (though he failed to pick up a first down), and he lead the G-d Damn team down the field with 38 seconds left to tie a game that we were on the brink of losing!

All this carp about not getting the first down is a MINOR point compared to the physical and mental performance he gave on Sunday. He went full on and LEAD the team.

I agree that those who are concerned about his leadership ability still have a \"reasonable\" worry, but I maintain that the \"validity\" of these arguments was seriously damaged by Brooks performance on Sunday. I can understand that people want a few more games like that before the buy in - that is reasonable skepticism - BUT too many arguments that rely on the W/L column, the smiling, and the \"lack of belief that he\'s smart enough to get it done\" have been put in SERIOUS question by that last performance.

Ok, I got a bit worked up here, but you all can take my meaning.

fjg, you must

1.Be bored mindless and so are just trying to instigate an arguement or

2. Have no concept of football. Think for a second. That slide that didn\'t get to the 1st down. If it was the last drive of the game and we had to get it to try and win, Hell ya I agree with you. If this was a playoff or Superbowl game, I\'m with you my man. We lose AB now to a stupid injury, then what? Bouman throwing it into the ground evry other play??

BUT to sit on your behind at a PC and call someone a ***** who\'s out there on the football field is REAL easy. My little girl can do that.

Shrume - go watch the game. AB knew he b-tched out the second he did it. He jumped up, tried to convince the ref to give a more favorable spot, and then threw his head back and clapped his hands. He knew he\'d made a mistake the second he\'d done it. Saintfan could have made that first down! :o

Hey J, I was\'nt saying he did\'nt help us win the game, I\'m just saying I need more time before I give AB props for being the next hall of fame QB.
