New Orleans Saints Injury Report: Joe Morgan, Travaris Cadet knocked out of scrimmage

The New Orleans Saints didn't leave Saturday's scrimmage injury free as wide receiver Joe Morgan and running back Travaris Cadet left the practice field with unspecified injuries. Coach Sean Payton wouldn't elaborate on the severity of any of the ailments.

Morgan went down in the backfield during the fourth play of the scrimmage. He had to be helped off the field by trainers and never returned. Morgan is the top candidate for the No. 3 wide receiver spot, essentially replacing Devery Henderson as a speedster.

"Don't blame @KennyVaccaro4 It was a routine tackle. I admire how feisty a player he is too. He's going be great for us," Morgan said via Twitter.

Cadet sustained his injury during a special teams portion of the scrimmage. He sat on the turf for about a minute and was able to walk off the field without the aid of the trainers who tended to him.

"Thank you all for the prayer and the support everything is ok WHO DAT," Cadet said via Twitter.

Wide receiver Jarred Fayson also left early after cutting his hand during one of the plays. He didn't return to the scrimmage. Wide receiver Andy Tanner tweaked his shoulder and missed a brief portion of practice, but he returned to action later.

Those who sat out Saturday's scrimmage were wide receiver Marques Colston (foot), cornerback Patrick Robinson (knee), linebacker Victor Butler (knee), linebacker Martez Wilson (elbow), quarterback Seneca Wallace (groin), defensive lineman Tom Johnson (hip) and linebacker Ray Shipman (hamstring).

In Wales its called seperated men from their sheep.

You also need more than a crowbar to do it.

If they are going to go down then now is the time to do it so we can give their replacements plenty of reps. There is a silver lining every where if you look hard enough. Trust me when I say that I'm looking hard for something positive to come out of this.
I can carry this team on my back with sheer determination if I have to........See, there is a silver lining right there. :p
