If and when the deal goes down, how long until mckenzie is able to contribute? i think he plays right away, but maybe just in nickel and dime packages. i see thomas and ambrose getting the starts for at least a couple of weeks.
the last time the saints had a player with dreads, that didnt work out too great.
hopefully, this is the final piece of the puzzle.

He plays right away. The schemes in the secondary aren\'t really that hard. They basically boil down to 1) cover that guy, 2) cover that area, 3) go get the QB.

He should be able to contribute right away.

I agree. MM should be able to step in and start immediately for most if not all of the defesive snaps.

Word is the Raiders are now interested too. McKenzie is a good CB and should be able to help the Saints. I do not think he is a major upgrade, but should help. Trading a 2nd and 4th round pick is a questionable call, but it is probably fair market value. If the deal goes down, hopefully I\'ve just under estimated his value to the team!

I don\'t know what the Pack are thinking! we won\'t(better Not)give up a first round pick! They are lucky to get a 2nd, he is an upgrade, but is that really sayin alot?
