Good stuff... Lions had no answer for all of that firepower from Brees and company.

Hear that announcer for the Lions? Dan Miller ... class act,.

This is the game that soured me on the Lions' coaching staff. After having met the Saints in the regular season and leading this game at halftime, they still hadn't seen enough of New Orleans to be able to make the proper adjustments?. I honestly thought Detroit had enough talent and momentum going in to win at least one playoff game that season, even against the Saints ...

The lions had us against the ropes big time in the first half

We couldnt stop CJ or stafford
The D line was man handling our O line

Only thing that changed it for us? The master of half time adjustments - Sean Payton

The lions have all the tools in place to be a great team, I just dont see it with their coaching staff - Im sure you agree slo?

Yep, it's time to start focusing on the coaching staff in Detroit ... they've had more than enough talent the past few seasons to make a bigger splash in the postseason then they have been.

I compare the Lions to the Saints quite a bit and last season is a good example ... both had weak defensive backfields, a great passing game, the Lions had more talent on the defensive line & the Saints running backs were far superior, but both teams are basically set up the same.

What's the difference? Coaching.

Why were the Saints, without a H/C, able to field a better win/loss record than the Lions? Coaching (even in abstentia) & the ability to adapt/overcome.

If it were up to me, this would be the a make-or-break season for the Schwartz ... get two winning seasons in or row & start making the playoffs or we'll find someone who can ... unfortunately, it's not up to me, :(.

The wife has a friend at work that is a die hard Lions fan, he's excited about this season but has the same concerns that you do SloMo. He thinks Reggie is the final piece to the puzzle, oh how funny

Reggie??? I forsee an injury by week 4 or 5. His knees do not like artificial turf & he did well in Miami on the natural turf. I wonder what Detroit plays on?? :dunce:
