All I can say is that win or lose, I do NOT want to hear anyone say "it's only preseason". Learning from the past I know that, even in preseason, if our 1st and 2nd offensive units can't sustain drives and our 1st and 2nd defensive units can't find ways to get off the field, it's going to be a long year.

we will learn nothing from the first preseason game... New defense, calls will be simplified greatly. New blocking scheme, O-Line calls will be simplified...

We'll learn how our talent stacks up against their talent. No elaborate game plans or trickery, lots of substitutions, our 1st and 2nd talent against their's.

It's all about the game between the coordinators though; you may have the superior talent, but it's all about having the right play called.

For all we know; Ryan may be putting the defense in bad positions on purpose to see who shines...

Kept wishing the start of last season to be right now. Don't have to do that anymore. I feel we will have a run game that is respectable that keeps our D off the field. If that happens we are going to win the division.

We let some long 3rd down conversions get past us on defense. One of them was the classic Harper getting burned by a TE.
