I'm thinking more of the Adrian Wilson type, which would be phenominal.

I forgot which coach said it, but they said he reminded them of a young Ronnie Lott.

If he comes anywhere close to those two, he'll be the best DB we've ever selected.

Holy pre-season Batman!

One game in the books and we have this generation's Ronnie Lott.

And to think, Seven years ago we drafted Gale Sayers II. Two years ago we drafted Emmitt Smith II.

Holy misinterpretation Batman!!! We aren't claiming he is Ronnie Lott. We stating that he reminds some people of a young Ronnie Lott. In this case it was a coach who said it.

He should wait until he plays a real game before saying stuff.

I like the passion, attitude and aggression but can we please hold off with the anointing oil until he at least knocks Roddy White out of the game

I am buying what he is selling.... He didnt just say it was slower than he "expected", he said it is slower than what he is "used to"...

That being said, it was what KC was serving that was slower than he is used to... The true test of speed will be week 6 when he gets a taste of Brady's pace.

He's going to pick Brady off.

I like a man who's willing to put a bullseye on his jersey instead of a number and dare opponents to square up their fastest receiver on him.

At least he probably knows what's going to happen next.

Anyone got the name of a good chiropracter in NO? His neck may need an adjustment from all the swivelling it will do watching Olympic caliber speed race by him.

I like passion and confidence. Arrogance...eh. Not so much. I think this kid is gonna be good, but needs to watch what he says after one PRESEASON game against the Chiefs.

Give him some time .. the kid is young, hungry and eager to succeed at his craft. What more can you ask for.

If QBs dumped 5-7 yard routs to TE/RB in 2009 D-Sharper wouldn't have been able to play D-Sharper type stuff either.

I read his quote in another article. He was asked a question. He answered it. There's so much hype about how the NFL is faster. For him it seems he was maybe expecting he'd have trouble keeping up? Who knows. I just didn't get the feel that he was being arrogant at all. Just confident. And confident es bueno!

To be honest, if he continues to play and progress the way he has so far this camp he could be a defensive carbon copy of TO and I wouldnt care. As long as Payton can keep him in check when it comes to the locker room he can be arrogant all he wants. This defense needs someone like that. I cant remember seeing one of our first rounders showing up like this since Payton arrived.
Looks like he is staying healthy too.

Wow wouldn't it be nice to see a true star in the defensive backfield. We haven't had many of those.

I think Sharper was the last one we had, and he was just a rental.

Re: Vacarro "NFL is slower than I expected".

I think the article on wwltv has a better interpertation of what he meant more than the video. Doesn't seem like he meant it as arrogance

“Coming from the Big XII, the tempo offenses all the time, to get a breather between each snap was wonderful for me,” the rookie said. “I’m not used to that. In college I was play after play after play no-huddle.”

In other words, Vaccaro felt like Friday night was slower in comparison to the college game.

Vaccaro finished with a team-high six tackles and, partially because of the tempo, felt the game was a little slower than he expected.

“I really thought it’d be a lot more faster,” Vaccaro said. “But I was prepared and it kind of slowed down in front of me as the game went on.”

Saints rookie Vaccaro says tempo of Big XII had him prepared for first game | wwltv.com New Orleans

Remember college rules are different when it comes to no huddle and letting the defense set up. Look @ Chip Kelly's offense @ Oregon it was play after play...no stopping to let the D set up. NFL refs have to let the D get set up before O can snap the ball. Thats all he meant.

Arrogant I can deal with. That's good to see it shows confidence.

Just don't go from arrogant to dick.

I really fail to see where anyone see's arrogance in what he's saying. He's answering the questions asked of him. And when he's explaining the speed of the game slowing down for him he's telling the truth...in college he didn't get a chance to get time to set up and take a breather between snaps as he would in the NFL because of the rules.

I really hate that people want to write him off as arrogant to me he's confident in his ability and answering the questions asked of him. He's not being an ***hole or calling anyone out.

Re: Vacarro "NFL is slower than I expected".

Of course it's going to be slower. The NFL has more intensity, than speed, while College Football is paced quicker, as well as the players being speedier.

He plays his game, answers the questions that are asked of him honestly and truthfully during the interviews that the press goes to him for.

He is not out soliciting the press, running his mouth like Rex Ryan saying this is the year, he is not calling out any other teams players or trying to make statements that he thinks he is a one man show.

We seem to want a player that plays like Rodney Harrison but talks like Ghandi.

There is absolutely zero comparison between K-Vac and TO/Ocho/Sanders/ Packman Jones etc..

He clearly stated the pace of the game was slower than he "expected"...his reaction was basically "i thought it would be non-stop like i was used too in the pac12".

He also clearly stated that it was "nice to get a break in between plays".

Some of ya'lls comprehenstion skills need work.
