The Ryan family has never been good at holding back their words. Rex Ryan has been claiming that the New York Jets are the best team in the league for years.

Brother Rob is just as bad. Rob Ryan was asked about all the injuries that he has been dealing with this preseason on the New Orleans Saints defense and he responded:

“This is nothing. I’m used to a whole team being hurt, then getting fired because of it.”

In your face Dallas! How do you like them apples? Sometimes I wish the Ryans would just shut their faces, but sometimes it is hilarious. I guess it really just depends on what they are talking about.

They are a confident bunch and they will never hold back what is on their mind. They are great for the media and the fans. They will just keep on chirping and chirping.

This latest quote from Rob Ryan. GOLD! Just wait till he gets fired all over again. Blame it all on the injuries.

I agree. This is exactly why I DO like Ryan. He has an edge and that is what this defense needs more than anything.

I forget the exact quotes anymore, but Gregg Williams used to say the same kinds of veiled things about his former employers at the Bills and the Redskins, cracking jokes about them, numerous times throughout his stay here. Nobody seemed to mind then. I think it's funny. Nothing beats a little self-effacing sarcasm about yourself, to win over the guys in the locker room.

Haven't read about todays practice, but at yesterdays practice the defense was slapping the offense around pretty good.

He did have a point even if it were in jest. His players went down far more frequently than other teams and he was filling the holes with marshmallows.

It does make one ask whether the injuries were due to circumstances or scheme.
