DC Rob Ryan says coaching under Sean Payton is ‘like being under Bill Belichick’
New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is taking on the task of rebuilding the worst defense in NFL history. Ryan selected the Saints because of the head coach Sean Payton and his system that produced a Super Bowl in 2009.

Payton and Bill Belichick have collaborated with each other in the past and share a lot of the same philosophies.

Ryan says working for Payton is similar to working with Belichick, who he worked for in the early 2000’s and won several Super Bowls on Belichick's staff.

"It's like being under Bill Belichick,'' Ryan said, via USA TODAY Sports on Monday. "Belichick to me is the best coach who has ever coached in this game. And Sean is right there with him."

Rob Ryan has high praise for Payton

As long as there are no spygate references with the belichek comparison its all good

You know that's coming though - some team from New Orleans, or better still, no team can be better than New York, Philly, Washington or San Francisco according to the ESPN ilk and the like-minded talking heads from Medialand...
