Totally frustrated
 

We've heard it over and over again.

Falcons are Super Bowl favorites , 49ers are the best team in the NFL , Seahawks are going to win it all ...

Saints will be 8-8 , 7-9 , 6-10 ... Best case scenario would be sneaking in at the wild card spot and lose immediately.

It seems in one year the entire world has forgotten about the offensive juggernaut The Saints are. Completely forgotten about Sean Payton being the best play caller in the game . Completely forgotten about Drew Brees being neck and neck with Brady Manning or Rodgers at any time. Just plain forgot !


Replacement refs started the season out with a bang & not a good one ! Out of Brees Manning Brady and Rodgers none had a winning start ... I'm sure you can see where something is wrong with that statement. I'm sure you see how that can warp a season , playoff seating etc ...

Cam newton is better physically and skillfully than any team employing the read option ... Once the league got film on him BOOM ! Average QB ...
So I expect Kaepernick , RGIII , and Wilson to Struggle just as he did ... Low and behold , they have this preseason ...
Once the gimmicks have gone out the window in the playoffs what will matter is
Whether you have a qb making the proper reads and beating a team with his brain and his arm ... Those QBs aren't going anywhere this season.

Lastly , we're the only traditional QB team that's gotten better ...

This is how all true Saints fans should feel. We've never been respected, even the year after the Super Bowl. Do people really forget the numbers we put up? Look at and watch any Sports TV or Radio show, see how much we're ever in a discussion. The few small segments we do get are quickly passed over. And how is Rodgers always put over Brees?!? Brees is by far the best QB in the league... please don't make me bring up the records he's broken. Seemed like that's all he did for a while. So what he threw a few extra picks. When you're playing on the other side of the worst defense, the man is going to be put in a spot where he has to take some chances to even give our team a chance. Frustrated? Me too.

I rather enjoy being the underdog, just means the league won't know what hit 'em

Why should we care? How often does the ordained team at the start of the season make it all the way? We'll have one team winning the Superbowl at the beginning of the season, one winning it at the mid point, yet another winning it at the end of the season, different teams winning it during each week of the playoffs and finally the real winner. I'm thinking three letters: IDC. Somebody let us know when the teams actually start playing..

Yeah? So what? We were 10-0 before they started giving us a chance the year we won the Super Bowl. I still remember it like yesterday when Steve Young had to preface his prediction of the Saints making it to the Super Bowl by saying "now don't freak out .... but I like the Saints."

Why would you want anyone to think we are the best team? Just like in 09 we will sneak through the first 5 or 6 games without losing and then people will start talking about us. Let them hype whoever they want at this point because the last time i checked 'experts' dont give wins, the players on the field earn them, and our boys are hungry this year!

Its human nature. If someone is dead wrong you just want to point out why they're wrong.

I understand wanting to be the underdog and flying under the radar and all that stuff, but if someone tries to argue that Matt Ryan is a better QB than Drew Brees, you just feel compelled to show them how wrong they are. When they refuse to see the obvious it does get frustrating, i don't care what you say.

You can say you don't care, but you do. Just look how many "go vote for Drew" posts there are all year long. We like to hear good things about the team we love. You can deny it, but you'd be lyin'.

After the whole bounty thing, I'm over it. I'd rather be overlooked or outright hated and be who we are (a great team with a great QB and one of the best coaches in the game) rather than be liked and be mediocre. If you could trade any whole team for our team, swap them out and have them wearing the uniforms and being the Saints instead of the guys who we have right now, I wouldn't take it.

Yes, it can be frustrating, but it seems like the Saints are always at their best when the national media pays no attention to them. The Falcons stuff does get old after awhile. Living up here in Chattanooga, if the sports page isn't talking Titans, they're talking Falcons. I say let them keep talking about the Falcons and crown their butts if they want too, watching the game last night when they played the Titans, I can say that I was not very impressed. Come Sept 8, the Saints are going to show that the Falcons are who we thought they were.

Im a true saints fan and I dont feel that way at all. If I got frustrated and bent out of shape at every person that didnt respect the saints, the stress would have killed me by now. Dont give in to the media...they're the biggest suck-up, go with the flow, cant think for themselves b****es! When the saints are hot, they're all up our a** like they are with the favorites now. I honestly dont give a damn who doesn't give us respect...it makes no difference in what kind of team the saints will be!

What really threw the wrench into things was Seattle.

Seattle was pretty much put into the playoffs by the officiating, I could probably find a case where it happened to Washington. Really both were average at best, then the both of them played in order to determine who goes to Atlanta.

If your Atlanta, you licking your chops over that because you getting a team that had no business in the playoffs.

Then you got Atlanta who was overrated and over achieved all season IMO, taking on San Fran, who at least did beat a viable opponent in Green Bay, least I believe they were a little tougher, but at the same time was not the same team we saw in 2010 and 2011 either. If you are San Fran, you should see the SB right behind that little ant pile, yet San Fran goes in there and almost lays an egg.

You see why last season NFC looked so damn bad, to me no one wanted it nor were they really good enough to take it, that went for every NFC team, Seattle pretty much threw the win vs Atl away in the final secs.

But at the same time, the NFL altered too much where the outcome became what it was. I think if we didnt have replacement refs, screw jobs like we saw in Denver and Seattle, the SB picture would be vastly different.

Exactly ... Add us not having our head coach and I don't know why Atlanta is so darn cocky ... Last year was given to them on a platter ... Too late we're back now
