SAME OLD SAINTS

There's not much more that can be said beyond the title of this thread.

They will always find a way to lose to teams that they should dominate. At this point, it's time for a change. I have a hard time expecting much more than same old, same old from this team.

We will probably win next week, but I won't take it as much. Up, down, up, down.

IMO - Atlanta locked up the division today, and the Saints proved once and for all that they will never have a winning tradition with this coaching staff.

It is time for a change. Honestly, I think I would prefer 2-14 and a change at coach over 10-6 and playoffs this season. This team has no clue what it means to be consistent winners. Only a new coach will change that, IMO.

WHODAT I WOULD AGREE. WE WILL PROBALLY WIN NEXT WEEK N THATS THE WORSE CASE SENARIO. ITS NOT THAT I DONT LIKE WINNING I DO AS MUCH AS ANYONE. BUT ITS TIME FOR THIS FRANCHISE TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN DO THAT FOR US ON A REGULAR BASIS. LIKE THE EAGELS. THEY WIN WHEN THEY HAVE LESS TALENT THEN WE DO. THAT SHOULD SAY ENOUGH ABOUT COACHING RIGHT THERE. BUT ILL TAKE IT A BIT FURTHER. THE GAMES WE PLAYED AGAINST THE REDSKINS WHEN THEY HAD THEY HAD SPURRIER WERE BATTLES. AT LEAST ONE WE SHOULD HAV LOST. THAT LETS U KNOW WHERE OUR COACHING STAFF IS. FOR GOD SAKES WE NEED A CHANGE. ALL I WILL SAY IS THIS. I SAID THIS EARLIER IN THE YEAR. IF WE HAD DENNIS GREEN WE WOULD BE IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP. END OF STORY

Your team stinks

spkb25 I too wanted to see Denny Green come to the Saints. But as long as T. Benson is running things, I don\'t think we will ever have a team like we all want. Man I been a fan since 1967. And in all those years you\'d think that the Saints would have at least made a SuperBowl appearance. But no it\'s always the Same Ole Saints. Give you just enough to get you to liking it and then just lay the hell down and quit.

Well spkb25 I agree we do have more talent than i\'ve ever seen on a Saints team. We just did someone who can put it togather and hold them together. I started wondiing about Haslett after the \'01 season. And then after the \'02 season I had no foults about him. He has no control over his players. I mean look at that cell phone thing with Horn last year. A lot of people thought that was real cute. I saw it as sign that the Head Coach has no control over his players. I would have put him on the bench so fast for doing that that he would be wondering if I was ever going to play him again. Haslett is whats wrong. And I honestly believe that had Jim Finks lived we woukd have seen the Saints in the SuperBowl.

I honestly think that Tom Benson is one of the stupidest owners in the league. His standards of winning are WAY too low for him to be an effective team owner.

The only reason he extended Haslett\'s contract is because he \"won\" the Saints\' first playoff game. He believed at the time that Haslett would be a good coach. So what does he do after that? He lets Ron Zook sign with Florida and runs off Rany Mueller, claiming that \"he never told him about the Ricky Williams trade.\"

BOOOHOOO Benson! Randy Mueller builds the 2000 team from the ground up, trades for a young Aaron Brooks, drafts Deuce McAllister, and trades away a disgruntled Ricky Williams for a 1st round draft pick. Nice job, Benson. I\'m sure that the collective force of Haslett and Loomis are doing ten times better than that Mueller guy! :casstet:

Just because an owner sets ticket prices below the team average doesn\'t automatically mean he\'s a good owner. A good owner cares about winning and is angry when a team loses to one of the worst teams in the league. And a good owner knows that you don\'t spend tens of millions of dollars on overrated draft picks (Johnathan Sullivan).

I can\'t wait for this bonehead to leave the office. I\'d rather have his daughter running the team than him.

When it comes to discussing Saints losses, Jack Daniels can be a great listener.

Rita may be from Texas, but I would really like to see the big clean-out after this season. Benson fires the coaching staff and after that turns the team over to his grand-daughter - it would officially be a rebuilding job and expectations wouldn\'t be too high. As long as the state doesn\'t try this \"let\'s redo the deal\" BS every year, I don\'t fear for the team\'s future in New Orleans. But I really feel that Benson will keep Haslett around until he steps down - and that means he has to step down after this season.
As far as hoping for a bad record - we had this discussion last season, WhoDat. I can\'t bring myself to root for the opposing team, at least not from the start of the game. Yesterday I wanted the Cardinals to score that last TD ... anyway, the way they are playing so far I don\'t see a record near 8-8 and we may all get our wish.

Same Old Saints?

I disagree. We have much more talent than any team we\'ve ever had.
Previous Saints teams were bad top to bottom, players and coaches.

I\'m not there with you yet on wanting to finish 2-14 but I wouldn\'t mind seeing Haz fired immediately and Venturi/McCarthy/Pease take over as interim.

I thought we might lose against the Cards but I never ever expected a complete blow-out.

I thought this coaching staff was really bad, but it appears I\'ve overestimated them.

I disagree Danno. Yes these are the Same Ole Saints!! It\'s got nothing to do with the players and coaches when I say that. The point is that there playing just like the Saints of old. How many times have we seen teams and players have carreer days against us. They let a washed up ole has been RB have a carreer day. All the sports channels will be showing it. How many times have we seen this in the past? I mean this is embarrassing. How long will the fans put up with this?
