That one made me laugh! You're right; he doesn't come with cup holders, but he pretty much has everything else. LOL

I'm pretty sure Kasey can't make a roux, because she has asked me to teach her the recipes for Lance's favorite foods, so I'll make sure a roux is in the mix whenever we have cooking class. And if I do say so myself, I make some pretty mean red beans and rice. I order my red beans online from the Camilla people. Can't get them in the store up here in Ohio. Kasey will definitely need THAT recipe!

BTW... That whole celebrity thing kills me. I'm just a regular mom who was lucky enough for both her sons to get a free college education and who have really cool jobs, although I have signed autographs and have had my picture taken with Saints fans over the years. I find that really crazy. I'm just like everybody else, working every day and shopping at the Wal-Mart.

I don't know about all of you good people, but I am ready for some Saints football!!! I'm tired of people overlooking us. It's time to go crush people and make a statement. Let's go, Saints!!!

Everyone overlooked us in 2009, they didnt care about our winning streak and I bet you like many of us would prefer to stay under the radar and get an end result just like 2009.

Truly a modest woman. You are however, as burdensome as it may be.. celebrity status here. We are simple fans that rarely if ever get an opportunity to interface with the players we so love much less their mothers. You are Lances mother so the whole "Lance Moore's mom" persona is old hat to you... You visiting us here is the equivalent of Elvis's mother visiting your salon.

We love your son nearly as much as you do and greatly appreciate you visiting and participating here at BlackandGold. We hope Lance has the season of his career this year and stays healthy. :bng:

Next time I'm "getting my hairs did" I'll keep my eye out for Elvis' mom. I picture her with hair like Tammy Wynett -- big hair. :)

And that's a 'no' on teaching Lance dance moves. Nick said whenever he gets married, I'm going to take dance lessons. We'll see if either of those ever happens.

You know what? I've gotten used to my kids living in another state. Lance has been gone since college, so 13 years... That's why we have phones, texting, and e-mail!

A big part of Lance's popularity and success has been his humility, work ethic and down-to-earth attitude. Everyone in the NFL is a talented athlete, but not many of them have those attributes, and I think it is apparent from your comments that he gets them from his mom.
I believe the Saints, and we as fans, pride ourselves on the fantastic personalities of our players, which is why we will hold all of the players' parents in as high esteem as the players themselves. Without great parents like yourself, our guys might have ended up like Roddy White, and no one wants that.

Uh, no I wouldn't have stood for that, that's for sure. Lance's game might be bigger than he is, but his attitude will never be.

Thanks, everybody for all the wonderful comments and compliments. I sure don't feel like a celebrity, but I can truthfully say that I don't mind riding on Lance's coat tails a little bit -- getting a good table at a restaurant or little appetizers we didn't order making their way to our table... That part is very cool. I don't mind sharing Lance will all of you good people. He is part of the city of New Orleans now and forever and that makes me very happy. Lance loves Saints fans and he really enjoys visiting kids in school and going to the various hospitals to visit the patients. I does my heart good to know that my son can make people happy just by being himself and that he never tires of doing so. I love the city and its people. Anyone who hasn't been there doesn't know what he/she is missing.

I'll let you all know when I'm going to be at a game, then you can keep an eye out for me. I'll be the mom in the 16 jersey. :-) Feel free to chat me up, and PLEASE call me Debbie or dmeeze. Remember, I really am just a regular mom... (And no, I won't get to celebrate Lance's birthday with him in person. Kasey will be there and I'm not trying to get in the middle of their celebration. Mrs. Debbie you are not riding his coat tails, you put in the work raising Lance to be the person he is... and those are long hours as a parent. Lance is a testament to your parenting effort, and I have no doubt that he would agree wholeheartedly.

At the end of the day you are a mother that is still so involved with your son that you are on the internet reading forums. That right there is not something that can be said for a lot of the mothers of stars. You are not in People magazine trying to make the cover, you are fully engaged.

I can see it now, The Kardashians are replaced by The Moore's. Now THAT would be a show I would watch.
