What would people be happy with?
2nd rounder and a conditional 4-5.
More drafts picks could help make the team younger and fill some of the holes that need filling on a limited cap

No I like Ingram way too much !!! Well , he'd have a better career with the giants for certain ... But wtf !!! We can't let him and ivory and bush just waltz there way out and get nothing of immediate impact back ... Now for jpp I'd roll the dice

For a 3.7 YPC RB.... Let it rip... The first round status though will come at a premium.

Not sure why anyone thinks a player would have a better career any where else but to each his own.

To many free agents to trade for draft pick. Heard they were looking at Willis Mcgahee. There's also Micheal Turner could prob get these guys cheap if they still wanna play and save a pick.

Because Eli is no Brees , they're not going to throw the ball half as much as we are which means more carries .... And they have a better running scheme that suits ingrams strengths

Something is going down... The last 24 hours have been way too strange.

Cadet doesn't even dress or show for Dolphins game.
Robinson gets an unbelievable number of snaps for a bubble guy
Now rumors are surfacing for an Ingram trade...

Ingram goes, Cadet is cut, Robinson makes the team.

Robinson did better against the Dolphins soon to be cut players than Ingram did. He also did better against the Raiders...

You forget Ingram played nearly the whole game?


RB is not a 1 on 1 position, if the hole is there it is there regardless of it being a 1st string hole or a 3rd string hole.

We're loaded at RB.
We need defensive help.
Ingram will be a free agent after next year.
The Giants need a RB, and Ingram fits their needs.
Ingram's dad played there.
Ingram's dad is doing time there too I think.


I like Ingram, but if they offered me a 2nd and a 4th or 5th, I'd probably jump on it.

Now if we didn't have Cadet and Robinson, NFW!

I am not so interested in Ingram leaving as to what we may be receiving to play defense in return. You trade depth for depth.

It is nothing personal, it is business.

Winning Championships is a business.

If we're going to trade Ingram I'd rather trade him for a living, breathing player. We need defenders NOW.

Having said that, I still like Ingram.

I would be ok with this. It has become obvious over the last couple years, he just is not cut out for this offense. He has been out played by every other RB on our roster except maybe Cadet. At some point, its just time to cut bait.

Our scouting department excels at spotting Offensive talent, but apparently at the cost of spotting Defensive talent.

Don't we go through this rumour every year? Hope it's not true, Ingram looked way better against Houston's starters than Robinson did against Miami's backups

I could see this happening, we would be loaded in the next draft. A high 2nd and a couple later round picks could go a long way if it is true . PT, Robinson and Sproles and possibly keeping Cadet, there are a lot worse out there.

I like Ingram, but if you can get a highish pick for him it should be considered. We have other backs that don't need 15+ carries to be productive and if we're not going to use him the way he should be then maybe it's time to let him go.

This is the main reason why I feel it's just a rumor that's passing through.

Ain't happening. Ingram isn't worth more than a 3rd at most right now... and that's just because he's still very young. Wilson is their future and ready to blow the top off of New York. The Giants aren't dumb enough to invest a high draft pick plus a conditional mid round pick for a rotational back.

I wouldn't give more than a conditional 4th that could turn into a 3rd based on Ingram's performance. He's a one year rental who is not a star back... no one is going to pay a premium price for that. If by some chance Ingram is moved for a 2nd round pick, I'll change my name to c0ckmonger for the next year.

What's going to happen is that he stays and has his best season as a Saint.

I really like ingram and would hate to see him go without having this year to see what he can do but its up to the coaches and mickey, i'll trust the moves that they make and if Ingram gets us a high first rounder then ill be happy

Also send us JPP when he's fully healthy

I would love for Ingram to stay and have a breakout year. I'm just not sure Payton is prepared to give any single running back 20 carries a game and that is what Ingram needs to be most effective.

Not going to happen. But, with the current RB rotation, and an overall lack of scheme involving the running game in the Saints pass happy offense, the Saints could win without him. Also, if Ingram went to a team that used him as he should be used, he would have a better career. In theory, it could be a win/win for the team and player.

What is your point? Read what you quoted of mine, thengo watch Ingram run the ball in 3 quarters... It is a valid statement. In the context of my statement it was pointing out that they both ran against Miami's 2/3/4 string players.

Potential picks are always good and at this point we need those (thanks goodell) and in all honesty I'd rather Ingram go so pt can shine the main rb who has been consistent since our sb run.
