3OLB's and 6 ILB just disturbs me. Even after two days I can't shake that WTF feeling.

The only thing I think might be going on is that Ryan knows the OLB's he had in camp were nothing special and he could pull a dozen vets off the street just as good for depth.

In that scenario it makes sense to wait until week 2 to sign one or two, since their salaries won't be guaranteed for a year.

The only other scenario that makes sense is that there is a trade in the works that we don't know about. Maybe for salary cap reasons we have to wait until week 2? That also may be why we haven't signed any OLB's to our practice squad yet.

I think Richardson signs after week 1 and we let that TE no one ever heard of go, or one of our 6 ILB's.

Makes me wonder if Martez Wilson's injury is worse than we think and that the Saints are wishing that their favorite player, Jon Vilma, can still be a great player.
I love Vilma but I wonder if it's time to put the stud to pasture. Keep him around the team like they did with McAllister during their Superbowl season.

i'd take a 3/4 vilma to a full go rookie that will be lost for 3/4 of a season
