Vaccaro picks off Ryan on a potential game-tying TD attempt to Gonzales.

Saints win 28-21.

Ray Lewis claims it is a conspiracy because the lights stay on for the entire game.

This game is likely to be a repeat of the first game back after Katrina, as this is SP first real game since his unjust suspension. I am loking forward to a 52-2 Saints win.

The dome will be louder than ever before and you know we will rock the all black uni's... can't wait for this game. I would have liked to play an easier team to start the season, but no one knows what to expect from this D and thats always a good thing.

42-17 Saints win

Rob hasn't shown much , Payton hasn't shown much and looked great preseason , they looked horrid and went 0-4 ... We dominate them regularly , they're overhyped , were serlverly overlooked , season opener in New Orleans , Sean Payton is back , they have a paper mâché line , this is our best D line in decades , they couldn't handle Colston graham and Moore , we picked up stills and toon , they have a weak secondary we have the best QB coach combo in the league , and we picked up a ballhawk in Vaccarro ...

I'm sure you see where I'm going with this

The NFL alternates feel good team stories. A line up we are excluded from consistently.
The talking heads know as much as we do about the upcoming season so the lean on last season for talking points.

Re: Brian Baldinger must be expecting a blowout

I don't feel comfortable about this game in the least. Yes, we can score at will and put up 40+points. Yes, we can lose a game in the last minute. Yes, we can commit multiple penalties. Yes, we don't even know what the starting defense looks like. Right now there are too many unknown variables to pick this as a win.
I want to see them do it but can they change last seasons defense in one training camp? Hopefully, even probably but not definitely.

There is nothing about last years defense that even remotely resembles this year.

It may take them a few games to get comfortable with all the formations, but they can't revert to last years defense.

If for no other reason than not playing mainly zone; that puts our secondary back in their comfort zone right there.
