Maybe he could have. This is just my opinion, but maybe the saints havent been blitzing because they dont trust the secondary. Maybe now that there is a cover corner on the outside they can bring the linebackers up to the line of scrimmage and help on the run, instead of having to play back in coverage. Maybe they can finally get some pressure on the quarterback or stop a running back using 8 in the box instead of 5 or 6. Maybe McKenzie will help the defensive coordinator feel comfortable about playing man coverage instead of a zone all of the time. Thats a lot of maybes, but like I said strictly my opinion.

as much as i agree we probally will be able to blitz more now i still dont see how this at all fixes yesterday. there was problems that cant be fixed by bringing people in. i want a new coach. i want to loose

I was just watching ESPN and they said McKenzie was good before they started really cracking down on the five yard contact rule.Now he may not be as effective and may even draw more flags because of his physical play.
