I'm with you. Boy was u2 song so much better IMHO

The U2 song takes too long to play and isn't a "get-fired-up" song. The Crunk is just a quick jingle they play at certain times to get the crowd going.

If you don't like the song just put your ear buds on attached to your iPod. I say keep the song and Brees go back to the 2009 pregame chant. If its not broken don't try to fix it.

Which is precisely why I do not understand the pregame chant changing.

I didn't hear the crunk song once inside the stadium during preseason. Still getting airplay on Poydras and at Handsome Willie's.

Some folks may not be into it, but the effect of the crunk song on opposing fans, in the Dome when the Saints are winning, is pretty awesome to watch. THAT never gets old. It's fun to see them sit on their hands, looking around gawking while everyone else goes nuts. Especially when the scores start piling up, it gets really repetitive and it drives the opposing fans nuts to keep hearing it over and over. They think we're crazy. So if it makes those people hate us, makes us different, or makes people think we are not like the rest of the country, then I am in all favor of the crunk. People in other parts of the country don't understand dancing and don't know how to dance, but we do. That's practically ALL we know how to do, is dance and throw a party that never really stops. So if opposing fans come to our city for a game, or watch on TV in other parts of the country, it's instructive to give them a lesson in mass public dancing. They already think we all sit around with accordions talking in French, walking our pet alligators on leashes, so why not get a little crunk or do something different from all the other stadiums out there.

But yeah, it's probably time to move on.

What I DON'T want them to ever change though, is the Alan Parsons/Chicago Bulls intro music. I bet Payton picked that up from the Bulls back in Illinois, and I hope he keeps it. Best intro music ever.
