I'm afraid that will come back to hurt new Orleans when they go to apply for another superbowl. I know new Orleans is the best place for the game but I have a feeling the other owners will hold that against the city

Yea that was a huge embarrassment, and I thought the same thing as soon as it happened.

The NFL does not appear concerned. The league referred comment on the matter to the Saints, and team spokesman Greg Bensel said, ''We have played two games there in the preseason and we have had no issues.''

Well duh. Of course the lights will stay on. We aren't doing some jiggle show at half time like we had at the Super Bowl.

The owners/league should understand how long it takes to fire MHs, if they do not, then they are in the wrong business.

What the Dome didn't remember before they did the Pre Super Bowl upgrade is one little thing.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Just wait until the "snow machine" gets stuck ON at the next Super Bowl.

Not THAT's gonna SUK.

Alaska

I sort of hope it snows just because.

Just checked her tour itinerary, and Beyonce is in Brazil this week. So it's the problem of the Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, Brasil, not ours. Let them deal with her and her ridiculously overblown light show. Needs the blinding light show and smoke to cover up the fact that she was lip synching to a recording.

I don't think it hurts our chances for Super Bowl at all. New Orleans is a great place for the game. The NFL is well aware.

New Orleans is the absolute best city for the Super bowl because we have something for everyone. The historical sights, worlds best restaurants, the aquarium for the kids, a casino for adults, Bourbon Street for whoever ... and everything within walking distance of the Super Dome. What other city has that combination?

Was there ever a "real" explanation given for the light going out?

Was it the stupid 1/2 tie show for sure?
