Rookies making their mark

For how much of a hyped up game this was and the importance of a W along with it, I'd just like to point out that two guys that made the biggest impact were our rookies - both called kenny

Kenny stills lead our team in receiving until late in the game when sproles caught a short pass and turned it into a nice gain, that move he put on the falcons safety was sweet and he had the maturity to know where he was, switch the ball to the other arm and wrap it up as there were three falcon defenders around him.

What can i say about Kenny Vaccaro, I love seeing matt ryan get lit up any day of the week, would have preferred to not have the penalty but the refs were calling us if the shoe laces werent tied.
More than a couple of times vaccaro came out of nowhere and slammed the ball carrier, lead us in tackles AGAIN!! (did so 4 times in preseason)

And the best play of all was watching him get just enough of a finger tip on that ball to make it bounce of gonzales' hands and right into roman's!!

great win, I'm pumped!!

Does anyone else think Stills should have scored on the long catch at the end of the half?
It looked like he was running three quarters speed deciding what kind of move to make.
Seems like he should have just turned on the jets.

I'd like to add John Jenkins to that list. The stats do not portray the impact he had.

Totally crashed the pocket when he was in and Jackson had no running room in the middle

I'll call it a Rookie getting snaps and doesn't want to lose his spot.... It seemed like he realized he wasn't gonna make it and changed his self into a ground and pound rb mid play. Did you see him tuck the ball with two hands!!! LOL Kenny

Rookies made a difference, on both sides of the ball. The Kennys are a reason to be excited, but I honestly think Jenkins could be the steal. With him in the game, we got more pressure on that QB and more disruptions in the running game.

Just think, we got a "D" grade for picking him up in the 3rd round this year...suck it, Bleacher Report.

I was concern about Jenkins stamina but he was a beast out there!

I would "like" this post over and over again if I could.

The National Post Predator database won't allow it though ;)

im going to be wearing my new vaccaro jerz at the game next week in tampa. love that kid.

obviously, we all know he made the play in the endzone to end the game by tipping that ball, but, what you might not have notieced is how he FINISHED that play by taking tony g to the ground and away from any chance of grabbing the reflection

Jenkins in my book has the biggest impact in the game and played better than any other rookie out there.

yep i said that

Watch it again, his first glance after the catch told him two defenders had the line on him which they did then he glanced around on the other side looking to see if he would get any blocking and no one was around... He knew it was 3 on one and didnt want to get stripped.

He played it smart and kept control of the ball.
