The Hot Crow Thread

Just about everyone needs to come get a slice... You know who you are, and why.

Good kicks by Hartley. 100% for three FGs. long 48 yards.

I am on the record about nearly all of our team. If Ingram ever comes around I will be the first one here.

That's hilarious. I'll eat some crow about Hartley, glad to see he is back on his meds. Hope he makes me eat crow all year.

I'll take some crow for actually believing Ingram would have a good game.

Who was it I was telling Terrell Pryor and EJ Manuel would be good? Because they were!

But Hartley shocked me. And Kap. And the Broncos.

Re: The Hot Crow Thread

They each had good games. Pryor's legs will make him fun to watch.

I'll eat some crow, but I still think he's a head case...

Re: The Hot Crow Thread

I will not start the 'I told you so' thread... That would require its own server, and bandwidth. :)

I need to add another one.

Rob Ryan, did I expect the second coming? No... All he gets compared to is what Ive seen the last few years for the Saints... Rob Ryan did well enough that he doesn't deserve to be in the same conversation as Spags and at worst he will be as good as GW... The jury is still out but I was pleasantly surprised by our defense on Sunday, they had a fire I hadn't seen in a while. its very evident that he motivates our guys.

Good job Rob, keep it coming and push the envelope.

Offense. Thought they would put 40 on the board no problem. Rookie CB picks Brees and field goals save the day...I'll take the thigh.

If Kenny Vaccaro didn't get ONE finger on that last pass, we'd all be eating crow over on the Falcon sites. Too many deep running and passing plays to glorify Rob Ryan yet.

We played good ball in many areas, but this game was scary-down-to-the-wire.

We are far from "owning" the Falcons. Right now we own a win that they don't have.

It was another close one with those damn dirtybirds. They are going to score, we knew that. But if our offense had scored in the red zone like they usually do, it wouldn't have been that close.

Well we did lose two corners at different parts of the game.

Lewis went out early and came back in the 4th, I believe.

Robinson took over for Lewis, but went out for a bit leaving White as our #2 corner for awhile...

And the only deep run was that 50 yard on the cut-back, Jackson was held to 20 rushing yards otherwise...

Im not going to eat crow after one game. I will however keep it on the plate in front of me. After 3 or four games I will take a bite.

Yep, we left about 21 points on the field. If our offense was clicking Falcons fans would be looking for other teams to support. Well from what I read most already are.

I'll happily eat some crow because of my thoughts on the Rob Ryan hiring. I did think switching to a 3-4 was best for the Saints defensive personnel, I wasn't overly excited about Rob Ryan being the guy they hired. I've just never been a fan of any Ryan honestly. It's only one game, but if this defense plays this season remotely how they played yesterday, then Rob Ryan will have earned a new fan.

Yesterday's game isn't going to make or break the Saints or the falcon's season.

I disagree! I think it made our season! First game back from a horrible season without Payton and we get a division win right off the bat. Against one of the better offensive teams in the NFC, and the defense did it in convincing fashion.

Total confidence and swagger boosting win!

Plus it put the Falcons in a hole in the division right from the beginning...

Re: The Hot Crow Thread

Won't eat crow yet regarding Special Teams...Fartley did his job, but no real "clutch" kicks. My Rule is that kickers do NOT get a pass within 40 yards in a dome, and should be hitting between 40-49 yards in a dome at about 75-80%. Kicks from 22, 31, and 48 ain't bad, but it's at home...in the dome. He keeps popping on the road, I'll certainly take my crow. Special Teams in general, I'm still thoroughly unimpressed with returns and/or McMahon...they average 10.5 in punt returns and we average 1.8? With Sproles? And the penalties on the returns? It is a guarantee that we lose at least one game due to special teams being a huge factor.

Whoops, completely negative rant...our D was bad@$$ and I'll take 35:11 Time of Possession any game. Great win.
