It's the play calling. A WR was open on the LF. They go up the middle either run or pass every time on 4th down. Smith is never going to take that team anywhere with his conservative decisions. Think he would ever attempt "Operation Ambush", he would never do something like that and that's why they have 1 playoff win, barely at that.

The thing is, Smith would call something like Operation Ambush, but he would call it at a time when it wouldnt work.

Like the 4th and 1 or whatever it was back in 2011 season @ Atl. Good call........bad timing.

I believe as long as Smith is their HC, they will not be winning anything significant. They could sneak into a SB, but its all assured that they would lose it.
