Ingram- What do we do with him?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We have $292k in cap space left... No one else is getting cut, replaced or picked up... For the Breescontractwhiners... What is killing us is $14.1M worth of cap space sitting in IR. With 12.3M of that being tied up ...

At this stage of the game/season I can see both getting cut off of IR because their Dead Money is only $10.5M which would give us back $1.8M in Cap Space.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?

I hope I'm wrong. From what I read on persistent turf toe requiring surgery and having issues over a year later..... It's bad for his career, and since that has to be divulged before a trade we may know why the Giants or Steelers trades never happened.

I wanted him away from the ball on key downs, not hurt.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?

I guess the questions would be for me when did he hurt it, training camp? practice? game? and if it is that bad why is he still being put in the game? His production has been real bad, why now are we getting info on this? Being hurt is one thing being put in the game knowing that a player is hurt is another!! Or is this a smokescreen?

Nope. I don't call people "crazy". And if you read my post in this thread you would have seen the phrase "at this stage of the game/season".

What I said previously was that taking the dead money hit would not save us any money against the cap because of the cost to replace with equal talent not on our roster.

You see that $1.8M in cap space... Run out and find me a starting DL and LB for that.

That conversation was before we knew what a good many on our defense could do along with Brown.

When you chose to call me out, have your ducks in a row. I generally chose my words very carefully, unless its profanity then it's what's ready available.

So, no Farva. You don't.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?

I'm not calling anyone out just saying what you guys told me back when I suggested cutting them during camp. I just don't see why its ok to cut them know when it wasn't back then when we could have found some replacements for them
I may have been wrong about who called me crazy but at the time I was being attacked by everyone and there brother's sister

Ingram- What do we do with him?

You just explained to your self why it wasn't feasible.... At that time there were a lot of unknowns and we thought we would have to find replacements.

A lot changes in regards to who can do what with confidence, and what the cap looks like in the two weeks leading up to week 1 and the week after.

Also, they both were serviceable at that time. Neither are now. A lot changes quickly in the NFL in a short period of time.

Do you mean everyone and their sister? Or was she a step-sister? My brothers sister is my sister but my step-sister is not my brothers sister. Be clear, it matters!
