POLL: Is this team well-run??

Let me ask you this question, with reference to the \"spin\". Did you read the entire \"Mickey Mouse\" thread? If not, do so. It will provide some perspective on where this came from.

Is Whodat trying to insinuate that this team is well run or not well run? Pretty obvious he thinks it\'s not well run. When he asked me the question origianlly my comment was that it depends. What part of the Saints organization are we speaking of? As a whole I\'d say it\'s better run that some and not as well run as others, but to say it\'s \"Mickey Mouse\" is reactionary.

Whodat is far more subtle with his agenda than some others, but this ain\'t my first rodeo either.

Then that clarifies. I\'ve seen the other thread, yes, but only skimmed a couple of entries. The topic didn\'t interest me enough to read in entirety.

From the context of this post, it seemed a personal attack on WhoDat rather than a football discussion. He certainly needs no defense from me, but I feel WhoDat has been taking a lot of heat on this board lately. A lot of his viewpoints I agree with.

How could this thread be a personal attack on Whodat? He started the thread. He started the thread to make a point. I occasionaly agree with Whodat too and give him his props from time to time, but he feels he\'s being picked on lately. It helps to know the WHOLE story.

I think that I did specifically exclude the Marketing Dept.

The Saints undoubtedly excel in generating hype, no question there.
Benson has handled his front office beautifully .

My thought is Benson is an older give them the second chance type owner . Benson most likely wants to believe that Hasbeen can pull it together and he knows if he cannot it is Black Monday time in the Big Easy ....

This is quite possibly the hardest decision for Benson at this point because Loomis is tied into the VooDoo and then Benson has too find a GM for them too . My gut feeling is if Benson does Black Monday it , then LeBlanc is the GM for the VooDOo and does the interviews for the Saints .

Sounds like \"agenda\" talk to me. Never fear LOE, the \"heat\" is only coming from one guy who is beginning to sound more and more like a cornered animal b/c his Haslett will save the day fairytale is crumbling.

As for where this originated, please do go read that thread. It is enlightening.

For example - here\'s what started it:
WHODAT
Might it be safe to assume there are some underlying problems with the staff and front office that make this team appear less than professional in the eyes of others around the league? Would you say that the term \"mickey mouse\' often categorizes unprofessionalism and underachievement?
SAINTFAN
You might. But if you said \"everyone\" was saying it or that it was being said \"quite a bit\" then you\'d be making things up...and you might get challenged to prove it by someone too...
Didn\'t say \"everyone\" was saying it, did I slick. Sure looks like just about \"everyone\" on this board is - but then according to Saintfan, we don\'t really know much about it and can\'t judge the organization \"fairly\" based on our observations.

WHODAT
So Saintfan - would YOU classify the team as \"well run?\" Or do you think that unprofessional is a better categorization, right now?

SAINTFAN
Well Run? Well that would depend on which area of the organization you\'re bashing today huh?

But then you and I know where this originated don\'t we? You still can\'t find a single player other than Kyle Turley that made the Mickey Mouse comment. You ran to Gator\'s rescue but couldn\'t rescue him. It\'s ok to fail Whodat...you need to keep trying. That\'s the important thing.
Who cast the first stone? LMAO.

Why Whodat, your most recent agenda is even more apparant than your last one. The thread you reference is NOT where the \"Mickey Mouse\" comment originated. In fact, you didn\'t originate it even, it was Gator, and you rushed in to PROVE to me that Kyle Turley wasn\'t the only one who said it. You were wrong, but as it stings.

From a football standpoint- No!

From a business standpoint- Yes.

Benson knows little or nothing about football, thus the poor judgement in personnel that actually run this team. But, you have to hand it to him where money is concerned, Loomis is a great cap-man and the marketing dept. is doing a great job selling this mediocre team year after year. Mueller was a huge loss in my opinion from a football standpoint.
