Breath of fresh air

I remember reading about Mike Triplett going to ESPN and I have to say, I don't mind reading the blog as much now. Seems like they assigned a writer to each team instead of just one person for the entire division. Really surprised Pat Yankhimself did'nt choose to cover the clowns since he has such a love affair for them.

Re: Breath of fresh air

It's fantastic. Pat always favored covering the Bucs because he lives there and covering the Panthers because he used to work there. He just did a copy and paste job for the Saints and Falcons with a tiny bit of his own "analysis" which was usually garbage. It definitely is nice getting real Saints coverage there now.

Re: Breath of fresh air

More than favoring one team or the other, Pat just went with whatever the media was manipulating at the moment. The guy simply follows ESPNs template. It's crappy sports reporting.

As I've said before - you can come right here and find out everything you need to know, and while we're clearly biased, there are some guys here who really know the game (I'm more of a 'fan' than a football mind) and their posts are far more entertaining and educational than anything on ESPN.

Pat Y. was awful, and yes, very biased toward the Bucs and Panthers. It was almost comical. Even Ed Werder was better for Saints insight, and he was the Dallas guy. Glad ESPN finally got somebody who knows which end is up.
