Weekly Training Schedule

Sorry for how mundane this question is, but does anyone know what a typical training week consists of for the Saints and on what days? How is that affected by whether they play at Home or Away (obviously they have to travel) and also if they play a short week or, as with this week, a longer week.

I'm almost embarrassed asking as it is quite a boring question but I can't find the answer and I just wondered how they build their schedule up. Also wondered how many opportunities they have to review players with ailments etc etc

Mondays are kind of an off day. Watch film, lift, get injuries treated

Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday are when they get the game plan worked out. Friday a run through. Sat to clean anything up. But easy.

Now that is what I have heard before so don't take it's gospel.

What about Sunday before MNF? If not traveling seems like they would want to squeeze a few more hours in.

Payton said it would be a normal work week just start a day later,

Sunday we watch the Falcons lose, laugh, and eat up popcorn.

I think they're off on Tuesdays.

You can't find the answer because it varies.

If we are going to Denver we would go earlier to acclimate to the air. Thursday, Monday, Sunday night games present different time lines depending on when we played the week before....

When your IR looks like ours I'm not sure there are enough able bodied players to field a proper practice. :)

Coach Payton plays it off the cuff a lot I think depending on the agenda and the feel for the team.
