This is why Bobby and Archie will never be in the Hall of Fame.

Exactly. Neither of them even come close to deserving it.

Bobby? i will leave that one alone

Archie played for some really bad teams. ok some of the worse teams in the NFL. If he played anywhere else he would be talked about in likely hood for the hall.

how good was he?

he is the only player in NFL history voted the best player in the conference and be on a team that not only finished below .500 but at the bottom of the division.

This vote came the players and coaches. not the media and not the fans. that is one example that in my book speaks volumes about the type of player he was. he was one of the best.

Back then many of fans were happy he kept resigning with us but at the same time we all wished he would go to a contender and get what he deserved. he was loyal to a fault to saints, the city and the fans.

Younger fans have no clue what he gave up for us in new orleans. so if a statue is ever placed out front of the dome i truly hope he is included. No one and i mean no one gave up more for the saints than he did.

Drew and Archie stand in no ones shadows in new orleans and neither stands in the shadow of the other.

no player to player

not team to team. i am leaving the supporting cast out of it

the saint are blessed to have both QB not only on the field but in the community.

well worth the watch for those that did not live thru it. glad they had the conference mvp in there. saved me some digging

Precisely. The theory of the game, along with the rules for receivers and QBs were much different then.

I will also refrain from commenting on Hebert.

bobby i agree

archie i will fight for and educate people. the young should never forget what that man did for the saints and the city. it is up to the younger fans to learn the teams history and pass it on when us old timers are gone.

wins are not the only measuring stick to greatness. do not fall into that trap.

when you speak of the greatest QB ever to play for the saints these two can be said in the same breath.

And that puts Archie on a pedestal for Saints fans that very few can ever argue or touch.

As far as the NFL Hall of Fame... He didn't achieve that level of success.

The Hall of Fame is no measuring stick for greatness either. Plenty of great players are not in there and some questionable ones are...
